Every child has their own needs, and the right support can make a world of difference! šŸ’™

For Ashton, one of the things he loves most about his new motorised wheelchair is being able to move around on his own. Beyond that independence, every feature has been carefully customised with his comfort, posture and long-term needs in mind.

From a headrest that allows him to rest comfortably to a backrest that can adapt as his needs change, these details plays an important role in supporting Ashton as he grows. Whether he is moving around at school or going about his daily activities, his wheelchair will continue to make a difference in his life.

And that's the lasting impact of a mobility wish. Through our Champions of Mobility campaign, you can help more children with critical illnesses receive specialised wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility equipment tailored to them, bringing greater independence and comfort to their everyday lives for years to come.

From meeting BIGBANG to making another K-pop fan’s wish come true!

All this BIGBANG excitement has us reminiscing about a special wish from 2012, when Jonathan got to meet the K-pop group as part of his wish.

Years later, he decided to return to the wish community, this time as a Wish Granter. Having experienced the joy of a wish himself, he wanted to give back by using the skills and experience he had gained over the years to help children going through journeys similar to his own.
And as fate would have it, the very first wish he helped grant last year was also a wish to meet a K-pop group! 🄹

While every child experiences the impact of a wish differently, Jonathan’s journey shows how its significance can extend far beyond the Wish Day, sometimes in ways we might never expect.

With your support, we can help more children with critical illnesses experience the hope, strength and joy of a wish, and create memories they can carry with them for years to come. Donate today through the link in our bio.

Why do so many children choose travel as part of their wishes? šŸ›«

Often, it starts with something they care deeply about. A place they have imagined visiting, or an experience they have followed from home and hope to be part of one day. For Gareth, it was tennis. He follows the sport closely, draws motivation from it and shares that interest with his family. Naomi Osaka is among his favourite players.

With support from Make-A-Wish France, Gareth and his family travelled to Paris to watch the qualifying rounds of the French Open. A sport he had spent so much time following was now unfolding right in front of him.

A travel wish gives a child something of their own to look forward to and help shape. During a period when illness can determine so much of daily life, it is a chance for their interests and choices to lead the way. For families, it can also create space to spend time together beyond appointments and care routines.

KrisFlyer members helped make Gareth’s journey possible by donating their miles through our partnership with Singapore Airlines. Thank you for helping bring him closer to the sport he loves!

Donate your KrisFlyer miles via bit.ly/championsofmobility and help another child experience a travel wish shaped by what matters to them.

A new wheelchair and a Wish Day to celebrate with his school! šŸ˜†

Ashton wished for a new motorised wheelchair after his previous one could no longer provide the postural support he needed. With tilt functions and improved support, his new wheelchair offers greater comfort and independence, while accommodating his growing needs.

His classmates, teachers and parents joined him to mark the occasion, making his Wish Day extra special. Thank you REVL Training SG for adopting Ashton’s wish and helping him move through everyday life more comfortably.

Before the school celebration came his wheelchair fitting, when Ashton first tried out his new chair. Stay tuned as we share that moment next! šŸ’«

F1 weekend is here! šŸŽļø As Singapore gears up for the action, we’re looking back at last year, when TAG Heuer gave our Wish Alumni the VIP treatment at the Formula 1 Exhibition!

The children had an up close and personal tour of their exhibition thanks to our friends at TAG Heuer. It was indeed a special day out, with plenty to get excited about!

Thank you for making our Wish Alumni feel like the superstars they are! šŸ

Just kids being kids, and having the best time 🄳

We’re looking back on a fun-filled Children’s Day celebration where some of our Wish Alumni joined children from other charities for an afternoon hosted by Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, with games, treats, laughter and plenty of happy moments along the way.

More than just a day of fun, the celebration brought children from different communities together to connect, make new friends and share in the joy of simply being kids.

A big thank you to the team for creating a space where everyone could come together and make happy memories!

Fifteen young musicians aged 10 to 22 will take the stage at Victoria Concert Hall for Echoes of Tomorrow – Wishes for Rising Virtuosos, presented by The EIT Project in support of Make-A-Wish Singapore.

Anchored by a special performance by Young Steinway Artist Ciara Zhang, with a guest performance by local singer Kemi Tan, the evening brings together aspiring musicians who are using their talents to make a difference through the power of music.

50% of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish Singapore, helping us grant wishes that give children and their families something special to look forward to during their medical journey.

We’re grateful to everyone involved for turning their passion for music into something meaningful. Come be part of the evening and help make more wishes possible.

We love a good throwback, especially when we get to see how a wish is still making a difference! Alawiyah wished for a motorised wheelchair in 2024 and continues to use it in her everyday life. She also enjoys doing one of the things she loves most: drawing. šŸŽØ

This Children’s Day, we’re celebrating children like Alawiyah for who they are and what they love. Her story shows how a wish can continue supporting a child long after the day it is granted.

ā€œSeeing Kiefer smile with his family made every bit of planning worth it for us.ā€

For Anastasia and Vijay, being Kiefer’s volunteer Wish Granters meant taking the time to understand what brought him joy. With Kiefer communicating in his own way, they worked closely with his family and paid attention to the little things that made him happiest, from spending time with his loved ones to karaoke and his favourite colour, blue.

Across our community, our Wish Granters bring this same care and thoughtfulness to every wish journey. They listen, learn and give their time to create experiences that are deeply personal to each wish child and their family.

To Anastasia, Vijay and all our volunteer Wish Granters, thank you for the heart, time and care you bring to every wish!
