Project Bhakti

Project Bhakti A youth for youth initiative by the Hindu Endowments Board since 2001.

Our classes help kids learn about the diverse Hindu culture through stories, dramas, games, activities & discussions to cultivate values for right thinking, action and understanding. Project Bhakti classes are conducted by a group of youth volunteers under the aegis of the Hindu Endowments Board. Since its inception in 2001, Project Bhakti has catered to the religious needs of Hindu children in Si

ngapore. The classes, which are conducted in English, are designed to help children to learn about our rich Hindu culture through stories, dramas, games, hands-on activities and discussions. Such activities help to inculcate values for right thinking and action in children, and inspire them to live up to those values with correct understanding. Project Bhakti classes provide a platform for children to appreciate the richly diverse culture of Hinduism as well as the positive attitude that Hindus have towards other religions and cultures. Such understanding will help children to relate to their roots and expose young minds to all that is best in Hindu culture and values. We believe that the Project Bhakti classes will lay the foundation for your children to live a very wholesome and happy life.

Wishing everyone a very blessed Panguni Uthiram! ✨

This sacred and auspicious day holds deep significance in our Itihasas and Puranas, marking several divine events. It is a day of celestial unions, as we celebrate the holy Thirukalyanams of Shri Rama and Devi Sita, Sri Shiva and Devi Parvati, and Shri Muruga and Devi Devasena.

Panguni Uthiram also commemorates the divine manifestation of Shri Ayyappa at Sabarimala, making it even more spiritually meaningful for devotees.

May this blessed occasion fill your lives with peace, prosperity, and divine grace. 🙏

🌼 Project Bhakti – Class 9 (29 March 2026) 🌼

Our Class 9 students joyfully commemorated Ramanavami with heartfelt devotion and enthusiasm. The session was filled with soulful Rama bhajans, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere. Students also journeyed through the inspiring life of Sri Rama—from his divine birth, his marriage to Devi Sita, his years in exile, the triumph over Ravana, and finally his grand coronation. It was a beautiful blend of music, storytelling, and reflection on dharma and righteousness.

✨ Teens Class Outing Highlights ✨
Our Teens Class embarked on their first outing of the semester to the iconic Sri Mariamman Temple. Students had the unique opportunity to witness and participate in the Manjal Kuda Abishegam for Sri Mariamman as part of the ongoing Chandi Yaagam at the temple.

Guided by their teachers, students gained deeper insights into the rituals and significance of the Yaagam, followed by an engaging temple tour. Learning turned interactive with a fun Kahoot challenge, where answers were discovered through the temple’s information boards—making exploration both educational and exciting!

To wrap up the enriching day, students partook in the blessed Annathanam and enjoyed a refreshing ice-cream treat to beat the heat 🍦

A day filled with devotion, learning, and joyful bonding—truly a memorable experience for all!

✨ *Project Bhakti – Class 8 (22 March)* ✨

Our Project Bhakti Class 8 session on 22 March was another meaningful and enriching gathering for both parents and children.

We were glad to host our second parent engagement session at Ramakrishna Mission, where Swami Samachittananda (President, Ramakrishna Mission) built upon his earlier talk, offering deeper reflections and practical insights from the first session. His continued sharing provided parents with valuable guidance on supporting their children’s character and spiritual development.

Meanwhile, the children headed to their respective classes after their opening prayers, where they carried on with their individual activities, learning and growing together in a joyful and supportive setting.

Thank you to all parents and children for being part of this journey with us. We look forward to more inspiring sessions ahead! 🙏✨

✨ Project Bhakti – Class 7 (15 March) ✨

We are delighted to share highlights from our recent Project Bhakti Class 7 session held on 15 March.

A key highlight of the day was our first engagement session for parents, conducted at the Ramakrishna Mission. The session featured meaningful and insightful sharing by Swami Samachittananda (President, Ramakrishna Mission) and Mr K. Sengkuttuvan (Chairman, Hindu Advisory Board), offering valuable perspectives and guidance to parents on nurturing values and spiritual growth in children.

Following the opening prayers, the children joyfully proceeded to their respective classes, where they engaged in a variety of enriching activities. These included storytelling sessions, creative craft work, interactive discussions, and uplifting bhajan singing, all designed to instill values while making learning enjoyable.

It was truly heartening to witness both parents and children come together in this journey of learning and growth. We look forward to many more meaningful sessions ahead! 🙏✨

A truly sacred and memorable class today for our Project Bhakti students. 🙏

Under the loving guidance of their teachers, the students performed a mass puja for Lord Shiva, carefully following each step with devotion, focus, and reverence. From offering flowers and water to chanting prayers, every action was done with sincerity and understanding.

As a special blessing and reminder of this beautiful experience, each student also received a Shivalinga to continue their worship and connection at home.

Moments like these help nurture not just knowledge, but devotion, discipline, and a lifelong spiritual foundation.
