👩🏻‍🏫✨ Impactful Learning through SINDA’s LYNN: We’re very happy to be back working with the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) on their Literacy & Numeracy Programme (LYNN). The programme helps children aged 5 to 6 prepare for Primary Education by building their confidence and foundational skills.

Since 2024, SDEA has proudly partnered with SINDA to bring these core learning concepts to life, utilising process-driven Drama for embodied learning. SINDA’s efforts to bring creative play to early childhood education perfectly align with SDEA’s mission of advocating for the practice and value of drama and theatre in education. SDEA will be hosting its 24th Annual General Meeting in-person on 16th September 2026, at 7pm.

All members are invited and encouraged to attend and take part in the AGM this year, hear from the committee elected in 2025, and discuss important matters and updates to the organisation.

ETLA is a certification course provides you with fundamental pedagogical knowledge and skills to create meaningful and imaginative learning experiences for your students and participants (primary school level and above) with drama. Find out more here: bit.ly/etla_info

This course is recognised by the National Arts Council and satisfies the pedagogical requirement for arts instructors to conduct NAC-AEP Arts Experience programmes in Primary and Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges, Centralised Institutes and ITE Regional Campuses.

SDEA is delighted to have partnered with in delivering a Creative Facilitation Workshop for Project Pulse, a youth development initiative in collaboration with MEMBINA Community

Through our Creative Facilitation Workshop, we had the opportunity to share drama-based facilitation tools with young participants, equipping them with the skills to engage, connect, and lead with confidence. More than learning activities, these sessions created spaces for trust, creativity, and authentic human connection.
This collaboration between three nonprofit organisations reminds us that our collective impact is greater when we combine our unique strengths. By sharing our expertise and learning from one another, we create richer learning experiences and stronger support for the communities we serve.

Here's to more collaborations that inspire, empower, and transform—because together, we can go further than we ever could alone.

Thank you so much, , for having us over at Youth Against Scams 2026 reel-making competition. A huge thank you to .ngeeannpoly for lending us your space!

The youthful participants not only got a quick course on how to perform authentically, but also learned about how connections are formed between people and circumstances with the help of Image Theatre techniques. After all, a story is more than just a collection of people, places, and things!

That’s what we’re about: drama education not only as a tool to build better performances, but to encourage curiosity and empathy in everyday life.
