Every year, GroundZ-0 will thank our supporters, commissioners, sponsors and friends with a specially designed confectionary i.e. cookies/cakes etc. for their continuous support for the previous year.
2021 - Dark Chocolate Bourbon Fruitcake (by Daniel Teo)
For the year of 2021, we have decided to have a whole cake instead of individual cookies (like the previous years). This is because we felt that the community & society has somewhat found a way to work together as a team. It’s no longer as individuals but we managed to find balance and bounding as a larger unit. The cake will also encourage further sharing amongst team, family and friends and that is part of our hope for a better society in Singapore.
This special fruitcake is made with dark chocolate, dried fruits nibbles and coarse sea salt, in an enveloping sensation of bourbon. It symbolises the togetherness (the whole cake) with bits of bitterness (chocolate), sweetness (fruit bits) and saltiness (sea salt), which can be detected in every bite individually. Every cut of the cake is a different ‘experience’… Just like our individual stories/realities during the pandemic… The bourbon in the cake gives an unifying blend yet also remind us with a hint of ‘lost’ and uncertainties…

*Tips - This cake, already could bring you to Paradise, is marvelicious with a scope of good Vanilla/Chocolate ice-cream OR Strawberry/Lime sorbet (depending on your palate). 😝😍😋😋 It'll further bring you to Heaven... LOL 😛🥰😇
