Promisedland Community Services

Promisedland Community Services Formed in 2001, Promisedland Community Services (PCS) has been providing help and social service to cancer patients and low-income families with children

There are two different departments in PCS which provides help and support to different groups of beneficiaries.
• Lifeblood Centre
• Educational Foundation

Lifeblood Centre

Lifeblood Centre started with the purpose of helping Thalassaemia and Cancer patients. When patients are diagnosed with cancer, they usually go through treatment processes which eventually hinder them from continuing their j

obs. They will then have to pay medical bills for the treatments. Cancer is not incurable, but it is a long and slow process which requires social and financial support to the patients and their families. This service started with the hope of easing the financial burden of these patients and their immediate families. Lifeblood Centre try to fills in the ‘gaps’ of the services currently provided by other charity/social organisation in the community. Our objective is to allow our beneficiaries and their families to continue the battle during this difficult journey with lesser burdens by offering two main subsidy programmes

Transport Subsidy

The Lifeblood Centre offers a full/partial subsidy for taxi trips or ambulance services between the hospital and home for recurring treatments and medical appointments. This benefits beneficiaries who experiences limited mobility, debilitating complications or side effects of treatment or the illness itself, or who are advised by their doctor to avoid public transport. Medical Subsidies

Medical consumables required for the treatment or maintenance of illness especially cancer-related can be costly, difficult to obtain and required regularly. We subsidise consumables such as needles and syringes for chelation, port expenses, diapers, milk feeds, wound care consumables, and stoma consumables among others. Rental of medical equipment are also subsidised partially or fully. Educational Foundation (EF)

The sole purpose of EF is to provide services to children and youths, especially from low-income families. We believe that every child deserves a chance to develop to his or her full potential, regardless of their family situation/status. EF is in partnership with a centre which provides after school care services under the arms of Promisedland Community Services. The after school care focuses on character development of children and youths. It is our desire to see that children and youths are able to grow up with hope and promises in their lives, gradually becoming law-abiding and socially responsible individuals in the society. Our services includes:

• Fully/partially subsidised after school care
• One on one mentorship programme to develop the child on a holistic approach
• Fully/partially subsidised tuition programme
• Fully/partially subsidised self- improvement programme
• Fully/partially subsidised excursion/outings
• Youth Football Programme
• Family bonding activities

What a joy-filled outing at Bird Paradise with Busways From pushing wheelchairs and holding umbrellas to making sure every beneficiary was cared for, hydrated, and included, their staff showed such genuine kindness throughout the day. The sun was strong, but their warmth, friendliness, and initiative shone even brighter. Our beneficiaries enjoyed themselves so much that they were already asking when the next outing would be. Thank you Busways, for loving our community so well.

🎗Today, we commemorate World Cancer Day 2026. 💜

World Cancer Day is a day of awareness and support for all those who are battling cancer - those included are our beneficiaries, who all smile widely today despite the difficult battles they fight everyday with their own illnesses.

Let us all stand in solidarity with them and show them our fullest support as they take on one of life’s greatest challenges, as well as honor all those who have gone before us. 💪💪🔥

Earlier this week, we brought several of our LIFEBLOOD beneficiaries to Chinatown for a day of fun! After enjoying a delicious lunch together, we walked around Chinatown to look at the many stalls that lined the streets, all donned in red for the upcoming Chinese New Year.

Thank you to our beneficiaries for joining us all for our outing today, and to the Promisedland staff for spearheading this whole outing! 💜

⭐ Every week, our Promisedland staff and volunteers visit our LIFEBLOOD beneficiaries to check up on them, as well as have a good chat with them! These three beneficiaries welcomed us into their homes and told us all about their days and how they’d been holding up recently, especially with the support Promisedland has been offering them. 🔥🔥

“Going on public transport is quite stressful for me, since I would need to constantly stand and sit.”

“I’m worried that when I go on public transport, I might fall down.”

Mdm Tserng, a LIFEBLOOD beneficiary, tells her story about having breast cancer and osteoporosis, and how being bound to a wheelchair makes it difficult for her to use public transport. Since she goes for medical check-ups frequently, LIFEBLOOD helps her travel to NUH for her appointments with a special transport service that has a wheelchair support service.

Donate now to help us continue aiding people like Mdm Tserng. Every dollar you donate will be matched with another dollar, under the Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme by toteboard, up until 31 March 2026.

Every life has a promise. Help us give that promise to those who need it.
