We visited Campusimpact Study Buddy programme and were heartened to see a safe, structured, and supportive space where children from lower-income families can learn and grow.

Beyond academic support, the programme places strong emphasis on nurturing students’ social and emotional well-being, helping them build resilience, confidence, responsibility, and other essential life skills.

CampusImpact also works closely with caregivers through family sessions, counselling, and parenting workshops, ensuring that support extends beyond the classroom into the home.

Their holistic approach is making a difference in the lives of both children and families. As they commemorate their 20th anniversary this year, if you would like to be part of this impact, consider supporting their work: https://www.giving.sg/donate/campaign/campusimpact-celebrates-20-years-of-nurturing-the-next-gen

AWARE AWARE Singapore was formed in 1985, and since then it has been the leading gender equality and women's rights organisation in Singapore.

A core part of this work is the Sexual Assault Care Centre (SACC), Singapore’s only specialised service for survivors of sexual violence. They offers trauma-informed helpline support, counselling, case management, advocacy, and legal guidance.

In addition to direct services for women and survivors, AWARE also works at all levels of society to remove gender-based barriers, including research and advocacy as well as community engagement.

On 10 April 2026, we celebrated 50 years of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, bringing together the Tan Chin Tuan family, our charity and educational partners, corporate partners, scholars, and alumni to mark this milestone.

The evening began with an opening speech by Mr Chew Kwee San, Council Member of the Foundation, who spoke about our vision of Impact, Influence, and Inspire, creating change through evidence-based and sustainable programmes, leveraging our networks to expand reach, and inspiring future generations to join this journey of good.

Guests were treated to a performance, Harmony by the TENG Ensemble, with a sharing by Mr Yang Ji Wei and Dr Samuel Wong on how the Teng Company gives back to the community.

This was followed by sharing from two scholars, Mr Gregory Yap, and Mr Joel Chiew and two alumni scholars, Dr Keith Goh, Mr Gideon Yap who reflected on their experiences as Tan Chin Tuan scholars and shared their aspirations.

The evening concluded with a moment of appreciation, where each guest received a rose as a symbol of gratitude.

We would like to thank Steven Chia for hosting the celebration, making the night a truly memorable one.

We have also launched our new website! You may visit https://tanchintuan.com/ to learn more about the work we are doing.

Metropolitan YMCA Singapore Metropolitan YMCA Singapore has been serving communities in Singapore for 80 years, with a deep commitment to nurturing individuals across every stage of life.

Through the M.Y Healthy Seniors programme, the organisation supports seniors aged 65 and above—many of whom are low-income or living alone—by promoting active ageing through adaptive sports and wellness activities. These programmes help seniors maintain mobility, build confidence, and stay socially connected, contributing to both physical and mental wellbeing.

Delivered in collaboration with Active Aging Centres, M.Y Healthy Seniors strengthens community support networks while helping seniors age healthily and independently, reducing social isolation and enhancing quality of life.

Last year, I participated in the Delta Challenge 2025, organised by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC). I participated in Track A: Mural Design, in which my partner and I became finalists and painted our mural at Hougang Community Centre.

While the generous reward acted as the initial push for me to join the Delta Challenge, I realised how much meaning participating in this competition had. One part of it was promoting an important message about protecting the public against scams, and another was the act of creation. In participating in competitions such as the Delta Challenge, I realise I am getting the opportunity to meet all sorts of people from different walks of life. The networking connects me with those outside of my field, which opens me up to new perspectives.

Ultimately, art and design is a service to the public, and as a scholar of the arts, I am proud and honoured to have given back to the community in my own unique way.

On 20 March 2026, we hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Day with Yong-en Dementia Day Care (DDC) Yong-en Care Centre to celebrate two years of corporate volunteerism (Project V).

We started with our General Manager, Ms Carol Lee, thanking Yong-en and our staff from Tecity Group and Straits Trading Company for their commitment, marking the end of our meaningful partnership.

This was followed by staff volunteer Ms Mabel Tan sharing her caregiving journey for a family member and highlighting the importance of learning how to care for demented patients.

Next, Yong-en's Executive Director, Mr Tim Lee , expressed deep appreciation for our volunteers and their huge impact on DDC beneficiaries.

Lastly, our consultant Mr Tan Chuan-Jin reiterated the heart of volunteerism and how everyone can contribute uniquely to the community.

Thank you, Yong-en, for two years of partnership, and to our staff for their dedication, love, and commitment!

My biggest motivation is always in the realm of education. I strongly believe that everyone should have equal opportunities in education
and access to the necessary tools and resources to succeed.

Through the resources provided by the SIT Student Management Committee, I was able to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

This was achieved through the peer-to-peer tutoring programme, where academically inclined students from all years can assist their peers in focused tutoring groups.

Through this initiative, both the student tutors and tutees benefit mutually; tutors reinforced their own learning and theoretical understanding, while tutees received personalised assistance that is tailored to their individual learning needs in an approachable manner.

By lifting each other up, we collectively become stronger and create a community built on a foundation of care and resilience where everyone can succeed.

Education is a key part of every young person’s journey, but financial and personal challenges can make it difficult for youths from low-income families to focus on post-secondary studies while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.

We are proud to support Allkin Singapore ElevatED!, a programme that empowers youths with financial and holistic support, reducing stress, providing essential resources, and building confidence and future readiness through guidance, learning experiences, and skills-based development.

Through Allkin ElevatED!, students can continue their studies with greater stability, improve their well-being and academic focus, and gain clearer direction and confidence through learning journeys, skills sessions, and guidance from Allkin staff. Along the way, the youths are also encouraged to give back to the community through volunteering, reinforcing values of responsibility and contribution.

You can make a difference. Donate to Allkin ElevatED! to help youths stay in school and reach their potential: https://www.giving.sg/donate/campaign/elevated
