☀️ Together with volunteers from Sentosa, our learners recently enjoyed an adventurous day out on the island as part of Sentosa Cares Week!

Excitement was high from the get-go as the trip kicked off with a cable car ride, treating our learners to scenic views along the way. 🚠 Everyone then took a leisurely walk through SensoryScape to Central Beach Bazaar, stopping along the way to take in the vibrant surroundings and snap some photos, before continuing their stroll along the beach to Southernmost Point, where they got to view the Disney Cruise Line displays!

The day wrapped up on a delicious note with a special full-course meal at Sentosa Golf Club, leaving everyone’s tummies and hearts full.

Thank you, Sentosa, for such an unforgettable day out! We look forward to creating many more memorable experiences for our learners together. 💙

🥮 True to the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, our members recently celebrated the festivities by making snowskin mooncakes!

Learners from our Adult Enhancement Programme enjoyed a hands-on session of mooncake and lantern-making, showcasing their creativity along the way! The celebrations continued in a separate workshop facilitated by RSVP Singapore, where our members and their caregivers created edible Teacup Gardens, complete with a cuddly garden bunny hiding a handmade Snowskin Bunny Mooncake beneath layers of sweet treats. ✨

🎉 We had a blast at our 30th Anniversary Celebration last week! Together with our members, caregivers, staff and volunteers, we marked the milestone with plenty of warmth, smiles and laughter.

The celebration kicked off in the afternoon with a special programme by student volunteers from SIM iCare! From ribbon dancing to station games, the volunteers brought excitement through a variety of engaging activities. The festivities continued into the evening with a scrumptious buffet dinner, a dance party and, of course, a cake-cutting ceremony.

Beyond the fun, we also took the opportunity to look back on our journey over the past three decades and presented Certificates of Acknowledgement to our inaugural DSA Awards nominees, who continue to inspire us with their stories, talents and abilities.

It was a heartwarming reminder of how much our community has grown over the years, as well as the precious connections and memories we’ve made along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been a part of our DSA journey, and a special shoutout to SIM iCare for making the celebration extra special!

What started 30 years ago with a group of parents who believed that every child with Down syndrome deserved to feel supported and like they belonged has grown into something much bigger — a community that uplifts, empowers, and celebrates persons with Down syndrome and their families. 💙💛

For three decades, DSA has been committed to this belief, offering a range of programmes and services to meet the needs of persons with Down syndrome and their families across different stages of life. From early intervention in infancy and early childhood to education and training for independent living in adulthood and active ageing, we continue to expand our support as the needs of the community evolve.

These milestones belong to all of us. As we turn 30 today, we thank our members, caregivers, volunteers, donors, partners, supporters and friends for believing in our cause and being part of the DSA journey.

As we embark on our next chapter, we remain dedicated to enhancing the quality of care and support for persons with Down syndrome and their families. We invite you to help us carry this vision forward by making a pledge towards our 30th Anniversary Fund.

✨ It was an evening to remember at Mystique 2026 as we celebrated 30 years of development, support and advocacy for the Down syndrome community!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors, partners, supporters, members, friends, volunteers and performers for celebrating this meaningful milestone with us. Your unwavering dedication to supporting and uplifting the Down syndrome community is a true reflection of this year’s theme — Our DSA HEART. A Lifetime of Love — and we could not have come this far without you.

We’d also like to express our sincere appreciation to our Guest of Honour, Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for Digital Development and Information and Health as well as our Special Guests, Ms Elysa Chen 陈诗韵, Mr Melvin Yong 杨益财 and Ms Denise Phua Lay Peng for gracing the event with their presence.
