𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱. Yet even with the best intentions, the way we respond in moments of stress can shape how our children see themselves, how safe they feel at home, and whether they turn to us when they need help most.

Following the overwhelming response to last year's session, this workshop returns to meet continued demand from parents looking for practical, evidence-informed ways to nurture their children's emotional well-being while building trust, resilience, and stronger family relationships.

Led by psychologist Dr Sara Delia Menon, this interactive workshop goes beyond theory to equip parents with practical strategies they can use immediately. Through real-life scenarios, facilitated discussions, and guided reflection, participants will learn to recognise early signs of stress, communicate more effectively during difficult moments, and respond to challenging behaviours in ways that strengthen - not strain - the parent-child relationship.

What does it take to hold the centre in a world of increasing polarisation?

At our "Holding The Centre – Navigating Online Polarisation" dialogue, participants came together for honest and heartfelt conversations on issues that often divide communities. It was encouraging to hear people share their perspectives, listen with empathy, and talk about the small but meaningful actions they have taken in their own capacity to bridge differences.

We also gained valuable insights from our panel speakers, whose experiences and perspectives shed light on how we can navigate disagreements constructively in today’s online environment.

Many parents are doing their best while juggling stress, fatigue, and the everyday demands of life. In those moments, it’s easy for discipline to become reactive or inconsistent and that’s more common than we think.

This workshop is a space to pause and reflect.

Together, we’ll explore how discipline can be less about control and more about guidance: setting clear boundaries while still building trust, respect, and emotional security at home.

In a technology-driven era, face-to-face conversations remain irreplaceable especially for dialogue on race and religion. Technology may support connection, but it cannot replicate the empathy and presence needed to listen across differences. Though the impact of such conversations is hard to measure, they matter because they shift perspectives: assumptions soften, understanding deepens, and people leave seeing others differently, quiet but essential steps toward compassion and acceptance.
