Inter-School Tamil Language Competitions 2024 (held on 20 July, 17 & 31 Aug 2024)
- For these three days, 220 students from 45 primary schools and 18 kindergartens around the island participated in various competitions for K1/K2 and P1–P6 levels. Parents commended it as a well-organised event.
- Kolam Ayer C2E did a segment, and Tamil Professionals did a workshop on 17 Aug, that entertained waiting parents. The Organising Committee takes this opportunity to thank them.

Kolam Ayer IAEC and Kolam Ayer Youth Network jointly held the event.

Inter-School Tamil Language Competitions Award Ceremony 2024 held on 31 Aug 2024 from 4pm to 6pm.
1) Award the 1st 5 winners for each level of the Tamil Language Competitions held for K1/K2 and P1 to P6 levels. Congrats to all our winners!
2) Honour our 10 judges (Mrs Esaki, Mrs Mahajabeen, Mrs Kamatchi, Dr Usha, Mrs Davamani, Dr Lakshmi, Mr Sadiq, Mr Subbu, Dr Thinesh and Mrs Mohana) with appreciation plaques.
3) Present Appreciation Certificates to our Emcee, Resident Volunteers, and Tamil Vazhthu Narrator (student Iyal).
4) Most importantly, announce and award the school with the highest points who won the Challenge Trophy. Jiemin Primary School won the Challenge Trophy for 3 consecutive years and will retain the trophy for their school. The school had winners in 4 categories. Well Done, Jiemin Primary School!
5) Our Guest of Honour was Mr. Chiang Heng Liang, JP, BBM - Kolam Ayer CCC Chairman. The Committee takes its pleasure in thanking him for his presence.
6) The Primary 5 student from Geylang Methodist Primary, Iyal Prabu, recited the Tamil Vazhthu starting the event.
7) A vegetarian bento set with hot drinks was provided to all attendees and volunteers.

Another great teamwork from KYCCIAEC and KY YN members, KYCC personnel and resident volunteers. Thanks to all those who volunteered. The award ceremony was a GREAT SUCCESS with 250 attendees.

We also take this opportunity to thank the schools, teachers, and parents for their continuous support and participation. See you again next year.

Welcome to Kolam Ayer CC Indian Activity Executive Committee (IAEC) page. The Committee aims to promote community bonding, social cohesion and racial harmony among the Indian community as well as other communities by organizing cultural, educational, social and recreational events and activities for the Kolam Ayer residents.
