Together with SINDA, we hosted a two-hour Career Clinic designed to equip participants with practical skills to navigate the job market with confidence! 🚀

From discovering what employers really look for to building a standout LinkedIn profile and personal brand, participants gained valuable insights into putting their best foot forward. They also explored the STAR framework, practised their interview skills through hands-on activities and mock interviews, and picked up insider tips from a recruiter's perspective!

💡 The key takeaway? Presenting yourself confidently is a skill that can be learned, developed and strengthened with practice.

A big thank you to our partners at SINDA for making this meaningful learning opportunity possible! 💙

In honor of the International Day of the Girl Child, we celebrate the power of education, opportunity, and respect as they are powerful catalysts for change. They don't just transform an individual girl's life. They uplift whole communities and pave the way for a more equal society. That’s the heart of what we do at United Women Singapore.

Help us keep building this supportive ecosystem. From now until 31 October, your gift goes twice as far thanks to our dollar-for-dollar match by the Tote Board!

Our session on Personal Boundaries and Respectful Relationships with Peer Support Leaders from one of the ITE colleges marked the third and final workshop in a series we ran with them this year.

Students explored what personal boundaries are, how to communicate them clearly, and how to respond when their own or someone else's boundaries are tested. Through guided scenarios and reflection, they practised supporting their peers with empathy while looking after their own wellbeing.

As Peer Support Leaders, these students are often the first person a friend turns to. Equipping them with the language and confidence to navigate those conversations extends the impact of the workshops well beyond the room.

A sincere thank you to the college for partnering with us across all three workshops this year. We look forward to continuing this work together!

Our UWS STEM Programme girls had an exciting day at Autodesk, getting an inside look at how technology, design and innovation are shaping the world around us! 💻🌏

They toured the Autodesk office, interacted with industry professionals, and heard from early-career engineers about their career journeys, experiences and advice. From discovering how Autodesk’s software helps design and build the world around us to learning what it’s like to build a career in tech, the field trip gave our girls a fresh perspective on the possibilities within STEM. 🚀

A huge thank you to the Autodesk team for welcoming our students and sharing your time, insights and experiences with them!

The girls from our STEM programmes stepped into the world of Deutsche Börse Group, where they discovered how finance and technology come together to power global markets.

Through an introduction to Eurex, 360T, Clearstream and SimCorp, participants gained a closer look at the diverse functions within the financial industry and the wide range of career pathways available to them. 🌏💻

The highlight of the session was connecting with industry professionals, hearing about their career journeys and experiences, and having the opportunity to ask questions in an open and engaging setting.

A huge thank you to Deutsche Börse Group and all the professionals who generously shared their time, experiences and advice with our young women. We are grateful for opportunities like these that broaden perspectives and inspire them to explore the possibilities ahead! 💜
