Our UWS STEM Programme students had an incredible afternoon at Bloomberg, gaining valuable career insights through an engaging panel discussion, receiving personalised CV reviews from industry professionals, and building meaningful connections during a networking session. A huge thank you to the Bloomberg team for inspiring and empowering our students through your guidance, practical advice, and mentorship.

Since 2011, Bloomberg has partnered with United Women Singapore to inspire and empower women and girls. Through mentoring, career development, skills-building workshops, and STEM initiatives, our long-standing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping the next generation build confidence, unlock opportunities, and reach their full potential.

Our biggest STEM Fest yet brought together 1,103 attendees including 46 partners and 410 volunteers for a day of discovery, mentorship, and possibility.

From 276 speed mentoring sessions that sparked real conversations between students and industry mentors, to 23 booths and 12 hands-on workshops that turned curiosity into hands-on learning - this video captures why STEM Fest continues to matter.

What happens to the plastic we throw away? ๐ŸŒŠโ™ป๏ธ

Our Ocean Rescue programme with the students from Kellock FB explored this important question through hands-on learning and meaningful discussions.

Students discovered how reducing, reusing, and recycling everyday items can help protect our environment. They also took part in an interactive ocean clean-up activity, where they removed rubbish from the "ocean" while learning about the hidden impact of microplastics.

By understanding the journey of our waste and the importance of proper disposal, students gained a deeper appreciation of how everyday choices can contribute to healthier oceans and a more sustainable future.

Small actions create big waves of change. Together, we can all play a part in protecting our oceans. ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒ

Through our STEM First Fintech Programme we introduce young women to cutting edge technologies disrupting the Fintech industry such as AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics and more! Over a period of 6 months, the girls build confidence, develop future-ready skills, and discover exciting opportunities in the world of emerging technologies. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป

๐Ÿค–โœจ We're excited to share the launch of our AIM (AI and Me) Programme and are delighted to have conducted our first two sessions with Republic Polytechnic's School of Engineering and School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design!

In these sessions, the participants gained valuable insights into navigating an increasingly AI-driven world. Through interactive discussions and activities, students enhanced their understanding how AI is shaping the future of work, and examined ethical considerations relating to responsible AI use.

A huge thank you to the educators of Republic Polytechnic's School of Engineering and School of Technology for the Arts, Media and Design for collaborating with us, and to the students for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful contributions throughout the sessions. We look forward to bringing AIM to more youths and empowering them with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and confidence to engage with AI responsibly.
