Happy National Day from our community to yours! To celebrate, we did a little trivia facilitated by Chloe and Li Fang❤️ We learnt some new tidbits about our island both from the quiz AND each other😌

Meet the Social Club🌷🌱🍄🪱
Staff, volunteers, small businesses, collaborators and beyond – they make up the ecosystem of mutual support and care that forms our community and today, we’d love for you to meet them!

This is Mei and Andy! A lovely husband and wife duo that responded to our open call for volunteer facilitators. They’ve since regularly contributed to our Tuesday Social Club sessions and ran their very own origami activity which was so very intentionally planned with care❤️ Read Mei’s reflections and takeaways!

Thank you to you both for being here and being a part of creating this safe space for our seniors to grow and experiment in their own ways🪴⭐️

And just like that, Joo Chiat Social Club turns 3!

We have so much gratitude for YOU: our collaborators, neighbours, friends (old and new) – thank you for being here in whatever capacity you have. A garden is only as vibrant as it is diverse, and we are thankful for the lovely people that we (and our seniors) call our community and home❤️🏡

Thank you for visiting our shophouse!

The lovely girls and our seniors spent some intentional time learning from each other, collaborating on illustrated creative expressions based on their lives and deep listening. We were once again reminded of the vibrancy our seniors are capable of through intergenerational interaction – seniors who have been frequently reserved or grumpy came alive!⭐️

Our shophouse was warmth and yet again, felt like more than a space but a vessel for community and connection to blossom. Thank you again SOTA, this collab was so special and such a full circle moment. Absolutely well done girls!🪱🌱

We are always open to visits from educational institutions or small groups – shoot us a DM if you’re keen to drop by (Don’t be shy😉)
