WeLL Centre came alive with double the birthday cheer as we celebrated the birthdays of our July babies! 🥳

It was a simple evening with delicious chocolate truffle and mango cakes and plenty of smiles thanks to the generous contributions of Kimmy and Matt!

The students were also split into four teams for an exciting general knowledge quiz - putting their knowledge (and teamwork!) to the test!!

A big thank you to our sponsors for the wonderful prizes and food and our dedicated tutors for helping to organise the games and making the occasion extra special for our students.

Here’s to more moments of fun, friendship and togetherness at WeLL Centre! ❤️

Community in colour! 🌟 Our outdoor corridor was beautifully transformed during our community mural-painting event held this morning. It was incredible to see WeLL's past & current students, collaborating closely with our community volunteers to give our walls a refreshed look. Guided by volunteer artist Anne, the team brought a vibrant landscape to life, fostering deep connections and revitalizing our shared spaces. We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our mission. If you would like to become a WeLL volunteer for our upcoming tuition and outreach programmes & activities, please drop us a message today!

✨ Making Maths Fun on Saturday Mornings! ✨
Students who signed up for WeLL's Happy Learners Programme have been having an absolute blast! 🧠 Every Saturday morning, they get to explore the world of mathematics through a fun, interactive, and completely engaging lens.
We love seeing our young learners build confidence and shift their mindset toward problem-solving!
How you can get involved:
🔹 Enrol your child: Give them the opportunity to experience our "Thinking Gym" and discover that maths isn't just about formulas—it's an adventure!
🔹 Volunteer with us: Share your time and passion to help guide these bright minds and make a meaningful impact in our community.

In today’s world, children are often taught what to learn but not how to think. Many can memorise procedures, yet freeze the moment a question appears in a different form. Real learning, however, begins in the mind — not in the textbook.

WeLL, together with our collaborators Neuromath Academy and HIA (who also sponsored the programme), believes deeply in this principle. The Neuromath approach focuses on developing the brain’s learning system, helping children process information, make connections, and reason with clarity. When children are trained to think first, understanding becomes natural — and confidence follows.

On Saturday, 18 April, students attended the first session of the six‑module programme. Norman and Vanessa, from Neuromath Academy, will provide oversight for these small‑group sessions, which are led by trained volunteers. Our goal is to gently guide children from dependence to independence, preparing them not only for future academic challenges but also for a lifetime of confident, thoughtful learning.

Parents interested in this Thinking Gym programme please contact the WeLL Team at 88018600.
