NTU student based eco-group aiming to reduce the university’s emissions :)

On 19th March, GreenSparks and NTUSU hosted our first session of Sustainability Education Engagement Network, or SEEN! 😀

💭💬We would like to thank all participants who attended and we were happy to see discussions on sustainability education in NTU!

➡️We would also like to thank Diganta, Zheng Yan and Terese for speaking at our event and sharing their experiences in sustainability education and what they hope to see. It was also very heartening to hear both lecturers and students exchanging useful resources.

The club has accomplished new goals this year and made significant progress as a relatively new sustainability club in the university. We are very proud of the activities we have participated in and also of a new campaign we have decided to focus on. Swipe to see what a productive year it has been for us! This is part 2/3 of our summarised review of NTU Sustainability Office (NTUSO)’s 2022 report (refer to our previous post for part 1!).

We're really happy that NTUSO has published its first report and (from what we understand) intends to continue this yearly and believe it's a wonderful start. It has helped in terms of providing an 'official' place to look into what is happening in NTU and a bit of an idea in terms of the direction NTU is going.

We'd like to give some of our suggestions and perspectives after looking into it, and hope to see the report improve year by year! We look forward to the upcoming report for 2023 and would love to hold a session inviting students and staff to review the report together.

Our long-awaited review of NTU Sustainability Office (NTUSO)’s 2022 report is here! We have summarised our review into three parts with this being the first part.

We're really happy that NTUSO has published its first report and (from what we understand) intends to continue this yearly and believe it's a wonderful start. It has helped in terms of providing an 'official' place to look into what is happening in NTU and a bit of an idea in terms of the direction NTU is going.

We'd like to give some of our suggestions and perspectives after looking into it, and hope to see the report improve year-by-year! We look forward to the upcoming report for 2023 and would love to hold a session inviting students and staff to review the report together.

Registration for 9th Zero Waste Bootcamp (ZWB) kickstarting on 20 Sep, 2023 (Wednesday) is now open! Participants will have an opportunity to participate in projects that include addressing fashion waste, e-waste repair, food waste and insecurity, empowering seniors with environmental knowledge and developing an edible garden. Some teams from the past round have even been covered in the media.

The ZWB is targeted at 18-35 yr olds and is spread over 12-16 weeks. The program allows participants to:

💫Connect with like-minded peers
💫Gain skills and knowledge to carry out a project with sustainable impact
💫Receive guidance from mentors and experts while working on a dual cause with eco and social goals
