We all know what a will is.

But have you heard of a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?

An LPA makes sure your voice is heard, even if one day you can’t make decisions for yourself.

With more people in Singapore ageing alone or with smaller families, having someone you trust to step in isn’t just “nice to have” anymore. It’s something many of us need to think about.

In a recent CNA 938 interview, Ms Julia Lee, Group Head of TOUCH Professional Deputies and Donees (TPDD) discussed the value of having an LPA and how TPDD can help.

Over 180 clients with special needs and their caregivers came together for a meaningful day of connection at the TOUCH Special Needs Group Family Day! Families bonded through a range of wellness activities, from creating personalised magnet paintings to enjoying relaxing hand massages, before rounding off the day with a delightful lunch at Concorde Hotel.

At TOUCH, we believe in partnering families to support persons with special needs in fulfilling their potential and creating meaningful opportunities to connect with one another.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers from Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF) for spending time with our clients and caregivers, building relationships, and guiding them through the day. We are also grateful for their sponsorship of gifts for every family.

Over 100 senior residents received free eye screenings at TOUCHpoint@Tampines 285, thanks to OneSight! 🤓

Following the screening, seniors also got to bring home reading glasses or sunglasses, with prescription glasses available for collection at the centre at a later date.

As a collaborative community hub which is dedicated to empowering residents and fostering community engagement, TOUCHpoint@Tampines 285 is grateful to OneSight for their care and generosity. Our trainees from TOUCH Centre for Independent Living (TCIL) Bukit Merah had a wonderful time at Harts Salon, where they enjoyed a refreshing haircut and a full salon experience!

From learning how to share their hairstyle preferences with the stylists to having their hair washed, cut, blown dry and styled, they had lots of fun throughout the visit.

What happens when a loved one loses mental capacity and there is no plan in place?

In a recent interview with Capital 95.8FM, Yi Fang from TOUCH Professional Deputy and Donee and Jin Feng, a client who has gone through the process, shares how the Simplified Deputyship Application (SDA) can help families in such situations.

Jin Feng, a mother of three young children, found herself facing mounting challenges when her father was diagnosed with dementia and moved into a nursing home.. As medical bills quickly escalated, she needed to step in to manage his affairs. However, being visually impaired, navigating the court processes and legal paperwork required for deputyship felt daunting.

With TOUCH’s support, Jin Feng was guided through every step of the SDA and was appointed as her father’s deputy within six weeks. She is now able to rent out his flat, helping to ease the financial strain of his medical bills.

Last Saturday, more than 20 seniors from TOUCHpoint@Wellington 513 teamed up with youths of all ages for 15M Health Games - Bonding Boccia. Organised by the NHG Health, conducted at NHG Healthiverse 2026, Bonding Boccia is an adaptive target ball sport designed to accommodate people of all ages and physical abilities, perfect for intergenerational bonding.

Group Head of TOUCH Elderly Group, Wong Li Peng, was right there in the thick of it too, cheering the teams on! Watching our seniors strategise, cheer and bond with their new young friends over sports reminds us that this is what community is about. ♥️

Last Friday, our clients and caregivers from Enabling Services Hub @ Jurong (ESH@Jurong) enjoyed a memorable visit to Singapore Oceanarium with volunteers from Centurion Corp.

Paired up with the volunteers, our clients and caregivers spent the day getting to know one another while learning more about aquatic life, taking photos of the animals, and enjoying a delicious lunch together.

A big thank you to Centurion Corp for making this meaningful outing possible, and for giving many of our clients their first visit to Oceanarium Singapore!

Raising digitally resilient families takes more than just screen time limits. It requires open conversations between parent and child.

TOUCH Cyber Wellness partnered with TikTok Singapore to launch the Family Digital Check-In Guide, a digital and printable toolkit to help families navigate digital safety together and reflect on their digital habits. This guide includes self-discovery profiles, conversational prompts and an overview of safety features to help families move from restriction towards trust and shared understanding.

We were honoured to have Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, Ms Rahayu Mahzam, alongside with educators, community partners and youth voices who shared their insights. Together, we can build healthier digital habits one conversation at a time.
