Toothless was found in the drain outside The Animal Lodge, alone and feral. It took a team of 5 people to catch him.

After some time with his fosterer, he has blossomed into a sweet and playful kitten. He loves his cuddles and kisses, running around and playing with toys. He is still learning about the world around him; he is wary of toys bigger than his littler head, but he is a curious boy and does not need much time to get used to new things!

Toothless would need a patient and firm parent who would be able to guide him, and give him lots of cuddles and kisses every day!

Details about Toothless:

- male, not sterilised yet (sterilisation scheduled soon)
- FELV/FIV negative
- fully vaccinated
- responds to Toot Toot, currently learning more cues such as "come here".

Interested adopters must have their houses fully meshed. Please contact 90025111 if interested.

Apollo belongs to a rescuer who does not have the resources (neither the time nor money) to care for him... the rescuer reached out to us to let us know that he couldn't p*e at all, and we brought him to the vet.

He has a very swollen prepuce, likely due to trauma such as overgrooming although we're unsure how it even started. It is so swollen that the hole is too small for his p***s to come out for him to p*e.

He has been hospitalised since 8 Jan (firstly at United Vet before we switched to Pet Space) as we try to get his inflammation down and see if the hole will widen. We had actually scheduled PU surgery at Pet Space on 16 Jan but at the 11th hour, Apollo p*ed two puddles of p*e through a slow dribbling.

With Pet Space's Dr Yuemee's blessing, we postponed his surgery and extended his hospitalisation for another week in hopes that with continued medication and expression of p*e, his prepuce hole will widen... we wanted to avoid the PU surgery if possible as Apollo is not young (above 10 at least) and there may complications from the PU surgery.

As the week went by, he continued to p*e without any catheter through the vets' help. But yesterday, he was completely blocked again. Given that the prepuce stricture has worsened, we have decided to go ahead with the surgery on 23 Jan. We are hoping he would not need to do the full PU surgery and an alternative surgery can be done to widen the prepuce hole. But we would have to wait for the specialist's advice.

We want to fight for Apollo because he is the sweetest boy and as with every cat we have cared for, he deserves to be cared for and given a chance to fight. 💔 Amidst all the discomfort and pain, Apollo remains bright, sunny and sweet. All the vets and vet techs love him, and would spend their free time playing with him at the cat ward 😢 they say he's the happiest cat they've seen in the ward.

All along, the vet bills have been paid from our own pockets as we do not have enough funds for the other cats at the shelter. If you're able to help us out, do DM us.

Also, do keep Apollo and this page in mind! We will be doing some fundraising to help with Apollo's vet bills.

Miso has been adopted!

If you have been following Miso's story, you would know that this sweet girl has been through a lot (went through dental surgery, and diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease). She had a potential adopter but the home trial did not work out as the existing cat was not ready for a new cat. Her PA-turned-fosterer then found other ways to promote Miso, which included promoting her on SPCA's website.

When Miso's adopter first reached out, we were frankly a little skeptical. People who had shown interest in Miso at adoption drives were always turned off by her age or her CKD. We asked the adopter and her family, "Why Miso?" and we were touched by her answer -- she thought Miso still deserves a chance and she doesn't think her condition or her age is a deal breaker.

After a month, we are happy to announce that Miso has finally found a home to call her own. (And she is a big sister now!) She's very happy, and has even put on weight. What a great way to end November, which is also an adopt-a-senior pet month!

We hope that Miso's story will also inspire other potential adopters to give these oldies a chance, and you'll realise how much love and warmth they'll bring to your life. ❤️

Special thanks to her fosterers and .tofu.furriend for helping Miso find her new home.

Lychee is adopted! 🥳

Lychee has been through a lot and we're all very happy for her... she has grown fluffier and learnt to enjoy her hooman's bed. She has the perfect home and family who wouldn't judge her for all her weird traits 💕 (like spending 10mins to bury her p**p in the litter box) 🤣

We're thankful to Lychee's fosterer who took her in at last minute notice when Lychee was at her worst, caring for Lychee and allowing her to be herself again. (Let us know if you want another foster cat okay! 🤣)

Be happy always, Lychee! Many hoomans have loved you, doted on you and we are so happy for you 💕

Darcie is a simple girl, she likes to sleep and eat 🤣 after eating, she conks out at the shelter and ignores the other cats who are busy playing and getting cuddles from volunteers.

She enjoys pats, but she isn't needy unless you have a ciao churu in your hand 🤣 she is okay with ear cleaning and nail clipping, especially if you have ciao too 🤭

If you're looking for a forever companion who is low maintenance and in love with food, Darcie is the gal for you 🥰

More details:
- 4-5 years old
- sterilised
- FELV/FIV negative
- vaccinated
- microchipped

Our Finley boy has been adopted!

If you recall, this sweet ahpek had dental issues and needed dental surgery last year. After which, he was fostered by one of our volunteers whose parents were a little apprehensive about having a cat in their house.

But! Both parents eventually fell in love with Finley! Finley's grandma would carry him in her arms like a baby (which he enjoys), and his grandpa would buy him little toys for him to play with.

Finley even has an area just for himself in the living room. He is part of the family and has found his forever home ❤️

We're thankful to our volunteer and her family for helping out the cute ahpek when he needed to recuperate from his surgery, and growing to love him and spoil him so much. 🥹 Be happy always little Finley and be nice to your grandma and grandpa (and of course your mama)!

Thank you everybody for showing care and support for Carly! There are alot of people who are concerned about her so we here's an update!

Dr Yuemee suggested doing a neurological panel for Carly to determine if there are any parasites or if Toxoplasmosis is affecting her neuro system. While we were waiting for Carly's neurological panel results to come back, we started on antibiotics for Toxoplasmosis and we're glad to report that Carly has been seizure-free for more than a week now (she was on 24/7 seizure watch by her fosterers). Her neurological panel results came back all negative, but Dr Yuemee mentioned that this doesn't mean that it's true negative. However, given that she's responding well with the antibiotics, with her WBC values coming down and her eyesight coming back, she thinks that we are on the right track.

Carly has been resting well, and her appetite is great. She is slowly gaining back the weight that she has lost, and has a little tummy now. She is also really good with medicine, and takes her liquid antibiotics in her food without any fuss, and chomps on her capsule antibiotics like it's a treat. She has been really easy to take care of, and we hope that she can find a family of her own once she's cleared of any parasites. She truly deserves one ❤️

Thank you to the donors for contributing to Carly's vet bills. We still need more help to fund her current vet bills, and her upcoming reviews so we will appreciate any help that we can get. Please feel free to dm us if you would like to help.

Our farm girl Sassy has been adopted 🥳

Due to her very sweet nature, we've been trying to promote her at adoption events and she has been to 3! She worked very hard at each event.

She met her new family at a recent adoption event and they fell in love. Within the first few days of the home trial, they've already treated her as part of the family ❤️

Sassy is a very sweet girl and we're so happy for her 🥹 we know she has found her forever family, people who will spoil her, care for her and give her lots of love 💕

All the best Sassy, we will miss you but don't come back okay! Enjoy your new home and be happy every day 🥰

Orion has been adopted 🥳

The family met Orion in one of our adoption drives and fell in love with her immediately. Orion seemed to have taken to the daughter too! We were so excited for Orion 🤭

The home trial wasn't always smooth, there were some stressful encounters between her and the family's 13 year old cat, but the family continued to work on the integration, creating more positive experiences between the two and it was a family effort! Now the two can coexist in the same room, minding their own business 🥲🙏

We are very happy for Orion, and very grateful to the family for being patient with her. She has been renamed to Tisha or Tia for short which means Joy 💕

Stay joyful little Tia, and be happy in your new home. Be nice to your new Big Brother and enjoy all the love your family has to offer you ❤️

Carly needs help!

On Monday morning, the caretaker reported that Carly was found on the floor and we suspect that she might have fallen from height while having a seizure. Within the next hour, she had 2 more seizures. We rushed her to Pet Space and she was hospitalised while the vet ran blood works and a neuro panel on her to find out what is going on.

We are heart broken 💔 If you've followed Carly's story, you would know she was once scared of us and it took us some time to gain her trust. She was born in the shelter when her rescuer had promised that all her cats were sterilised (obviously not), and her two siblings passed and only Carly survived... growing up, she was bullied by the other cats and did not had a good childhood. She had only started opening up last year and she does well at the adoption drives we bring her to. She likes to welcome people and is a sweet girl.

Overall, we've emptied out the funds and used our own personal funds to pay for Carly's vet bills (which amounts to $1,865.60). She would need to go for a review next week which would be tough on us. If you can help us with the funds, do DM us!

Currently, she's being fostered by us and under 24/7 seizure watch for at least a week. If you can help to foster Carly as well, please reach out to us 🙏

For info: Kidney markers and thyroid values are normal, but her liver values are elevated. Her results are also indicative of an infection (elevated WBC and NEU). We've gone for a more comprehensive blood panel to find out what she could be facing, and we're praying with all our might that it is toxoplasmosis or parasites that can be treated and resolved. The panel results will only be out after 4 working days or so from now.

Another rescuer at BFF Shelter had agreed for us to help her rehome her cats 🥰

Haley is the sweetest bug who we have been hoping to help rehome the longest time (otherwise she will just spend the rest of her life in the shelter and her rescuer doesnt visit the shelter anymore as she is too busy) .

She is super super cuddly and loves hugs. Great with kids and okay with other cats. She is 6 to 7 years old.

Henry is a sweet gentle boy who loves pats and his nap time. He is very easy to care for and is great for first time cat owners. He is 8 to 9 years old and has FIV.

Henry and Haley will be at the Majulah Singapaw event at Rivervale CC, from 11am to 1pm. Come and meet them there 🥰
