With the strong support of Minister Ong, the Sembawang Central grassroots team has put together a youth development programme featuring workshops and industry visits.

There are three upcoming industry visits to Woodlands Health (5th June, 1pm - 5:30pm go.gov.sg/slaywh2026), Mandai Wildlife Park (6th June, 9am to 12pm go.gov.sg/slaymandai2026) and LinkedIn Singapore HQ (19th June, 9am to 12:15pm go.gov.sg/slaylinkedin).

These visits aim to give youths better exposure to different industries, career opportunities and networking opportunities.

Youths between 17 to 25 years old who are interested may sign up via the links above. There are currently about 20–30 places remaining.

The LinkedIn visit will also conclude with a dialogue session with Minister Ong.

Weekly Senior Activities
~ 28 April 2026 ~

Residents (with a few seniors missing from the photo) enjoyed a delightful cup of coffee/tea ☕️ and bread 🍞 after attending the Digital Workshop conducted by our SDO Ambassadors on how to book Grab car transport. It was a meaningful and engaging session where residents gained useful digital skills while spending quality time together within the community.

Unfortunately, we were too occupied during the session and did not manage to take many photos. Nevertheless, thank you to our SDO Ambassadors for their patience, guidance, and continuous support throughout the workshop!

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
~ 25 April 26 ~

Residents enjoyed a refreshing and meaningful walk at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve yesterday—what a fruitful morning indeed! It was heartwarming to see families bonding and neighbours coming together, strengthening the sense of community.

A big thank you to all our dedicated volunteers for your support and effort in making this trip such a joyful and memorable experience for everyone.

Come and explore the scenic boardwalks and tranquil trails at Singapore’s first ASEAN Heritage Park, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
