The Jalan Kayu Community Emergency and Engagement Committee, in collaboration with the JalanKayu Youth Network, jointly organised a blood donation drive with the support of the Singapore Red Cross.

Within the first few hours, more than 20 residents stepped forward to donate blood, reflecting the strong community spirit in Jalan Kayu.

With each donation having the potential to save up to three lives, every contribution truly made a difference.

A heartfelt thank you to the residents of Jalan Kayu for your generosity, and to our partners from the Singapore Red Cross for your unwavering support and dedication.

Together, we are helping to save lives—one donation at a time.

Kudos to Fernvale Riverfront RN , Riverbank MCST, Jalan Kayu C2E, our CERT Members and Singapore Civil Defence Force for a wonderful Safety and Security Day!!!

Thank you for your effort spread the life saving awareness to our residents!!

Together with Fernvale Riverfront RN & Riverbank MCST, Jalan Kayu C2E organised the Safety and Security Day @ Riverbank at Fernvale on 28 September 2025.

Joined by Grassroots Adviser to Jalan Kayu SMC GROs, Mr Ng Chee Meng , more than 150 residents participated in this event and acquired essential EP skills and knowledge through hands-on fire extinguisher try outs, CPR+AED and insightful sharings by SCDF, SPF and CERT. Children and adults also enjoyed the interactive puppet show and nagomi art demonstration.

A fire simulation showcasing the use of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures including evacuating safely towards the temporary assembly area and CERT member demonstrating CPR+AED was done during this S&S day.

Through the event, residents understood the importance of staying prepared for emegencies and together, we can build an .

08/08/2025 - National Day Celebration @ Jalan Kayu
Jalan Kayu C2E and Jalan Kayu CERT members provide first aid support at the event and assist with crowd control during the fireworks display. Furthermore, the team proactively managed the dispersal of the crowd at the traffic junction to ensure the safety of road users and participants.
