We are delighted to share the successful completion of SSACCI’s member engagement event, *“Business Success Through Relationship & Sales,”* held in Singapore with the participation of more than 50 members, entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders.

The event highlighted an important business reality: long-term success is built not only on products and services, but also on strong relationships, trust, effective communication, and cultural understanding.

We were honoured to have **Dr. Alka Chadha**, internationally known as *The Water Alchemist*, share valuable insights on building meaningful professional relationships through empathy, authenticity, emotional intelligence, and human connection.

We also welcomed **Mr. Dinesh Singh**, who shared practical lessons from his extensive experience across ASEAN markets, emphasising the importance of relationship-based selling, cultural intelligence, and trust-building for business growth in Southeast Asia.

A special highlight of the evening was the launch and discussion of Dinesh Singh’s book, *“Asia Sales Mastery: Unlocking Business Success in the East,”* offering practical strategies for navigating the region’s diverse business landscape.

The strong participation and engaging discussions demonstrated that even in an era shaped by technology and AI, relationships remain at the heart of business success.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our speakers, members, guests, and supporting partners — Trust Global, GIST, Pro Bono, and SIAA — for making this programme a success.

At SSACCI, we remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities for learning, networking, collaboration, and business growth, helping our members build valuable connections across industries and borders.

🇸🇬 Honouring Service, Commitment, and National Resilience

SSACCI was honoured to witness the 02/26 Basic Military Training (BMT) Graduation Parade of the 3rd Battalion, Singapore Guards, celebrating an important milestone in the National Service journey of Singapore’s young servicemen.

The parade was a proud moment for the graduates, their families, commanders, and trainers who have supported them throughout their training. Their dedication, discipline, resilience, and commitment to serving the nation deserve recognition and appreciation.

In a world facing increasing geopolitical uncertainties, national security remains a vital pillar of stability, economic growth, and social harmony. Singapore’s National Service continues to play a critical role in building a strong, secure, and resilient nation.

Beyond military preparedness, BMT instils valuable life skills including leadership, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose—qualities that benefit individuals, communities, and the nation as a whole.

At SSACCI, we believe that strong national institutions, economic progress, and national security go hand in hand. A secure environment creates the foundation for businesses to grow, communities to flourish, and future generations to succeed.

Congratulations to all graduates of the 02/26 BMT intake. We wish you every success as you continue your National Service journey and contribute to Singapore’s future.

Our appreciation also goes to the Singapore Armed Forces, commanders, trainers, and support personnel for their dedication in shaping the next generation of citizen soldiers.

A strong nation is built not only by economic success, but also by the commitment of those who stand ready to protect its sovereignty, security, and future. 🇸🇬

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future concept—it is rapidly becoming part of everyday business operations.

Recent discussions by industry leaders suggest that AI agents could soon work alongside human employees at scale, influencing everything from customer service and operations to decision-making and business growth.

The real question for organisations today is not whether AI will have an impact, but how they will prepare for it.

✔️ How can businesses integrate AI into existing workflows?
✔️ What new skills will employees need?
✔️ How can SMEs adopt AI responsibly and effectively?
✔️ What governance and risk frameworks should be in place?
✔️ How can organisations balance human expertise with AI capabilities?

As AI expands beyond software into manufacturing, logistics, service delivery, and operational management, workforce planning, reskilling, and digital readiness will become increasingly important.

The organisations that succeed will be those that combine human creativity, judgment, leadership, and relationships with the speed, scale, and efficiency of AI.

At the Singapore South Asian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SSACCI), we encourage businesses of all sizes to start preparing for this transformation today. We are also pleased to share that grants and support schemes may be available to help organisations explore AI adoption, digital transformation, workforce development, and capability building.

Businesses interested in learning more about available support opportunities are welcome to connect with us.

The future of work is not human or AI.

It is human and AI working together.

SSACCI was pleased to be represented at the 2nd India-Singapore Forum, organised by the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), National University of Singapore (NUS).

The forum brought together policymakers, diplomats, academics, business leaders, and industry experts to discuss the evolving Singapore-India partnership and its growing significance in the ASEAN and Indo-Pacific region.

The discussions highlighted opportunities for greater collaboration in trade, investment, innovation, technology, education, entrepreneurship, and regional development, while addressing emerging economic and geopolitical trends shaping the future.

Representing SSACCI, Chairman Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu FCA engaged with distinguished guests, senior leaders, and representatives from the High Commission of India in Singapore, while also reconnecting with professionals from diverse sectors.

SSACCI appreciates the important role played by ISAS in promoting research, policy dialogue, and knowledge sharing on South Asia and its relationship with Singapore and the wider region. We look forward to exploring future collaborations that support business growth, entrepreneurship, policy engagement, and regional cooperation.

Our sincere appreciation to ISAS and NUS for organising this insightful forum and creating a valuable platform for meaningful conversations and partnership building.

We are proud to congratulate our Chairman, Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu FCA, on the successful completion of his tenure as Treasurer of the Abdul Kalam Vision Society, Singapore, following its Annual General Meeting 2026.

During his tenure, the Society maintained strong financial discipline, transparent reporting, and sound governance practices, providing a strong foundation for its community-focused initiatives.

The AGM also highlighted several upcoming programmes inspired by the vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, including youth development initiatives, educational engagement programmes, environmental projects, community service activities, and fundraising efforts.

A touching moment of the meeting was the tribute to the late Mr. Ma. Anbalagan, a founding member of the Society. To honour his contributions, members approved the establishment of a scholarship in his name, creating a lasting legacy that will support future generations.

At SSACCI, we believe that meaningful leadership extends beyond business and into community service, education, and nation-building. We are proud to see our Chairman contributing to organisations that create positive social impact and strengthen community values.

We extend our best wishes to the newly elected office bearers and look forward to the Society’s continued success in advancing the inspiring ideals of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

He was invited as a Special Guest at the Virtual Global Sustainability Conference 2026 by Edufam International Academy — a 24-hour global initiative themed “Cool the Earth, Calm the World – Take Action.” 🌍

At SSACCI, we believe community building goes beyond business — it’s about supporting families, emotional well-being, and inclusion.

We’re proud to support Andhadhi, a caregiver-led initiative for Indian families in Singapore supporting individuals with autism and special needs. Built by caregivers themselves, it creates safe, understanding spaces to connect, share, and support one another.

Caregiving can be overwhelming, often leading to isolation and burnout. Initiatives like Andhadhi offer a much-needed space to pause, recharge, and feel supported.

Their “Chai, Coffee & Chill” series continues to bring caregivers together through meaningful, small-group conversations.

Milestones such as these reflect not just longevity, but a sustained commitment to leadership, governance, and meaningful contribution.

The Singapore South Asia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SSACCI) is proud to acknowledge and celebrate our Chairman, Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu FCA, on marking 15 years of membership with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), along with receiving the commemorative milestone recognition.

With over two decades of experience spanning public listed companies, private enterprises, government-linked institutions, and non-profit organisations, Dr. Chinnu’s journey reflects a deep and consistent engagement with governance, strategic leadership, and institutional development across diverse sectors.

His contributions, including engagements connected to key public sector ecosystems such as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social and Family Development in Singapore, highlight a strong commitment to accountability, stakeholder impact, and nation-building.

As a Senior Accredited Director (SID-SAD), Dr. Chinnu exemplifies the highest standards of corporate governance, ethical leadership, and board effectiveness—values that strongly resonate with SSACCI’s mission of fostering responsible business practices and sustainable growth.

In today’s evolving global landscape, where governance frameworks are becoming increasingly complex, such leadership plays a critical role in shaping resilient and future-ready organisations.

We also take this opportunity to recognise the important role played by the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) in strengthening governance standards and building a robust ecosystem for directors and organisations in Singapore and beyond.

At SSACCI, we are proud to be led by individuals who not only achieve personal milestones but also contribute meaningfully to the broader business and governance community.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu FCA on this significant milestone and look forward to his continued leadership and contributions to both SSACCI and the wider ecosystem.

Building a globally connected PIO community goes beyond dialogue—it requires real collaboration across business, youth, and academia.

SSACCI, under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu FCA, was proud to host a meaningful interaction in Singapore with delegates from GOPIO Malaysia, GOPIO International, GOPIO International Business Council, and GOPIO Singapore.

With the presence of global leaders such as Mr. Gunasekaran, Mr. Ganesan, Mr. Chezhiyan R, and Mr. Mohamed Tanveer, the discussions focused on strengthening GOPIO’s core pillars—Business, Youth, and Academia.

From enabling cross-border trade and investment to nurturing future leaders and building strong academic partnerships, the session centred on creating real, actionable opportunities across regions including ASEAN and the Middle East.

A key highlight was the upcoming GOPIO International Conference in Mauritius this September, where SSACCI looks forward to contributing meaningfully.

Together, we move towards a more connected, empowered, and opportunity-driven global PIO community.
