NATIONAL AMATEUR FOOTBALL CENSUS

For over three decades, amateur football in Singapore has grown, evolved, and endured — yet across 25 years of teams rising, falling, returning, and rebuilding, we still do not have a complete picture of who we are.

We take the first step to change that.

The National Amateur Football Census is the first ever, community-led effort to identify and record every active amateur & grassroots football team in Singapore.

This has never been done before.

Social, corporate, independent, women’s, veterans, informal — every team that keeps this game alive.

Before conversations, before ideas, before improvement — we must know who exists.

This is Phase 1.
A baseline. A marker in history.
The beginning of something we have never had: a clear picture of ourselves.

If you organise, manage, or represent an amateur team —be counted.

• Your response will not be made public without consent.
• This census does not register or affiliate your team to any organisation.
• This is not government-led nor FAS-endorsed

Let’s finally build the visibility we have earned —
and see the landscape that has carried the game for over three decades.

👉 Census closes ⚠️ Sunday, 18 January 2026 (Extended)

Today, we start finding each other.
Tomorrow, we start shaping what comes next.
For the first time — we will know who we are.

AFA COMMUNITY LEAGUE
AFA Cup Finals

The inaugural AFA Community League was officially brought to a fitting conclusion with a hard fought AFA Cup finals between Purple Line FC and DHL Express (S) FC, pitting the youngest team and most improved team in the league.

With the weather not doing any favours, added pressure was put on both teams to become the first winners of the cup.

After early exchanges, DHL took a well deserved lead, which they kept despite spirited attempts by PLFC to score, only to be thwarted by their goalkeeper.

Whilst the second half slowed under the heat, passion from both teams did not, and PLFC came good in the latter stages to draw level to force the game into penalties.

However, in a tense shootout, DHL missed the first penalties, and despite their MOTM keeper pulling off a fine save, Purple Line FC held their nerves to win 3-1.

Whilst there can be only one winner, both teams performed remarkably well in a showcase of what the Amateur Football Association (Singapore) hopes to build; highly competitive football, with upmost respect, quality and discipline from all involved, and both finalist exemplified it to perfection.

Congratulations to Purple Line FC for winning the AFA Cup, and DHL Express (S) FC for putting on an excellent show!
