Suncare SG

Suncare SG Supporting the wellbeing of Children and Youth We conduct our programmes at The Lighthouse, a children and youth-centric hub located at Punggol West.

Suncare SG seeks to bridge an important gap in the community social services landscape through our programmes, which are firmly science-based and outcome-driven. We act as an incubator – working with partners to pilot and rigorously evaluate evidence-based interventions specifically for the Singapore community, and scale and implement such interventions in Singapore that prove to be feasible and e

ffective. The Lighthouse is designed to encourage wellbeing activities and has three zones – Family Cove for child-related activities, Pitstop for youth wellbeing and peer support activities, and Xpression for arts, photography, dance and public speaking activities. We are a registered charity with the Commissioner of Charities and a member of the National Council of Social Services.

🎨 Every child has a unique story to tell and art can help bring it to life.

Through our You Shine programme, children explored different forms of art while discovering new ways to understand and express their thoughts and emotions. From creative art activities to hands-on experiences such as paracord weaving and nagomi art, each session encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and express themselves with confidence.

One of the most meaningful moments was witnessing the perseverance of the children as they learned unfamiliar skills, patiently working through challenges and taking pride in their creations. πŸ’›

At Suncare SG, we believe that art is more than just creativity, it is a powerful tool for building self-awareness, encouraging self-expression, and helping children discover their strengths.

A heartfelt thank you to for partnering with us to create this meaningful experience for our children. ✨

πŸ’‘πŸŒŸ Over the past two days, our young kid-preneurs explored what it takes to start a business.

Through the programme, the children developed their own business concepts, practised pitching their ideas with confidence, and even took the time to design and create their own products based on the given theme.

Beyond fostering creativity and innovation, the experience also helped them build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in presenting their ideas to others. We are so proud of our budding kidpreneurs for their hard work, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit! πŸ‘βœ¨

Thank you for providing this meaningful opportunity for our children and for their dedication in nurturing creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking among our young learners. πŸŒŸπŸ’›

Curiosity came to life during our visit to Stellaris Robotics! πŸ€–βœ¨

Our children had the opportunity to interact with robots up close, explore how they work, and discover the many ways technology can be used to support and enhance our everyday lives.

Beyond the excitement of meeting the robots, the visit encouraged our children to ask questions, think creatively, and imagine the possibilities that innovation can bring. πŸ’‘

Thank you to Stellaris Robotics () for welcoming us and creating a meaningful learning experience for our children.
