More than 40 participants of ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‘๐š๐ข๐ง๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ (๐‘๐“๐), together with their family members and volunteer mentors, came together for our second Family Day event, themed "๐Œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ž ๐’๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ", at Golden Village. โค๏ธ

At RTP, we recognise the important role that family plays in an individual's reintegration journey. Through our strength-based approach, we seek to strengthen family relationships, foster emotional well-being and build meaningful support networks that empower participants to move forward with confidence. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

Family Day is one of the key milestones in the 12-month RTP journey, providing an opportunity for participants, families and mentors to connect, celebrate progress and create lasting memories together.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, bonding and celebration as families enjoyed Minions & Monsters while recognising the milestones achieved throughout their reintegration journey. ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽฅ

๐Ÿค Strengthening Parenting Support Together!

On 13 July 2026, our Early Childhood and Parenting team, together with the Research and Capability Development team, hosted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which fostered learning amongst the agencies especially on their experiences in running parenting programs and services, as well as in the agencies use of technology-based interventions during their engagements with parents. The FGD also hopes to identify existing service gaps for the practice research to continue exploration of emerging needs and opportunities to better support parent.

On 9 July 2026, our team presented FRCS FSC's practice research on homelessness at the 7th International Conference on Practice Research (ICPR7) at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Senior Social Worker Mr Muhammad Sofian Moojimmy and Assistant Senior Social Worker Ms Lim Shi Yan shared findings from the Homelessness Pilot (HOP), a collaborative initiative with Safe-Sound Sleeping Place(S3P) Assyakirin that supports individuals experiencing accommodation instability through an integrated, person-centred approach.

The pilot's findings offer valuable insights for strengthening social work interventions and enhancing support for individuals facing homelessness concerns.

This milestone also marks the culmination of our homelessness practice research journey that began in 2021, reflecting FRCS FSC's commitment to practice-based research and continuous service improvement. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“š

On 28 June 2026, our Focused Intervention Team for Early Childhood and Parenting (ECP) joined the West Coast and Ayer Rajah Family Life Champions at their community event, held as part of the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐…๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” โ€” a celebration of strong families, meaningful connections, and vibrant communities! ๐Ÿกโœจ

At our outreach booth, we had the pleasure of connecting with residents and sharing more about our ECP programmes and FSC services, helping families with young children learn about the support available within the community.

The little ones had plenty of fun too! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿงธ Through interactive play activities, children explored, learned, and played together. Each child also received a book and a toy to bring home โ€” encouraging learning through play and fostering quality parent-child bonding during these important early years. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’•

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who stopped by and spent time with us. We were also delighted to meet the Advisers to West Coast, Ms Cassandra Lee and Mr Desmond Lee.

On 7 May 2026, SoberPLAY brought participants together for a heartwarming session themed ๐Ž๐๐๐Ž๐‘๐“๐”๐๐ˆ๐“๐˜ ๐“๐Ž ๐‚๐‡๐€๐๐†๐„ ๐ŸŒฑโœจ โ€” an afternoon centred on connection, reflection, and encouragement in the spirit of a true kampong.

In line with the theme, participants enjoyed a delightful ๐ค๐ฎ๐ž๐ก ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Ÿก๐ŸŽ‰, where sharing traditional treats became a meaningful reminder that change, like these handmade delights, comes from patience, care, and intentional choices. Each bite symbolised the possibilities that unfold when we embrace growth and take small steps forward.

The session was filled with energy as participants took part in a lively ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ ๐†๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐ŸŽฒ and a fun ๐ ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ญ-๐ฌ๐ฐ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ŸŽ.
