Christian Outreach to the Handicapped

Christian Outreach to the Handicapped Day Activity Centre (DAC) services for adults with disabilities.

Christian Outreach to the Handicapped (COH) was established in 1979 and registered as a charity since 1987. Over 40 years, we continue to be like a Canopy of Hope, building communities of acceptance, joy and hope for people with disabilities – whereby each one’s potential can be identified and developed. COH provides Day Activity Centre (DAC) services for,
• Adults [aged 18 and above] diagnosed

with intellectual disabilities
• Individuals from all background; regardless of race, religion or financial standing

Many clients we serve have one or more of the following conditions, such as – down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), hearing or speech impediment, epilepsy as well as cerebral palsy [and other physical disabilities]. Our Emmanuel Activity Centres (EACs) operates from:
• Mondays to Fridays, 9:30am to 4pm
• 3 locations within the Tampines and Toa Payoh neighborhoods

In the work that we do, we hope to promote a more inclusive and fulfilling life for people with disabilities; allowing them to achieve greater independence in the different aspects of life.

A meaningful day at the COH Art Gallery Showcase at i’mable Collective Space 🤍

Christian Outreach to the Handicapped (COH) proudly showcased 19 artworks created by our beneficiaries — celebrating creativity, growth and self-expression through art 🎨

We were honoured to have Mr Cai Yinzhou (Member of the Singapore Parliament
for Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC) as our Guest of Honour, alongside the support from UWCSEA staffs, volunteers and guests who came down to support our beneficiaries and community ✨

Guests also had the opportunity to witness selected beneficiaries working on their artworks live, offering a closer look into their artistic journeys and creative process. Handcrafted items by our beneficiaries including candles and inhalers were also available during the showcase.

Thank you to everyone who supported and made this exhibition meaningful for our beneficiaries. Together, we continue to foster inclusion, creativity and empowerment through the arts 🤍

As the festive season draws to a close, we’re reminded that the greatest blessing is community❤️

Thank you to our active volunteers, and for making this Chinese New Year celebration so special for our beneficiaries.

Our staff also came together to celebrate across all three centres — a season filled with joy, togetherness and blessings.

Feeling truly blessed to welcome the new year as one COH family✨

Our very first time at the iBoccia competition and what an amazing debut it was! Out of 32 matches, three of our teams qualified for the Round of 16, and two advanced to the Round of 8 (Quarter Finals) 💪 What an incredible achievement for our first outing!

Huge thanks to Yong, Eugene, Jimmy and Mira for spending your Saturday supporting and participating — your energy and teamwork made it all possible☺️ 🙌

It was such a wonderful opportunity for our clients to gain exposure, build confidence and have fun through sports. We’re beyond proud of everyone’s efforts and yes, we’ll definitely be back next year! 💥👏

We’re truly grateful to be part of this year’s contingent! A huge thank you to our amazing senior volunteers from (434 Tampines) Active Ageing Centre for marching with us and showing what community spirit truly means!💜
