Our seniors at Senior Station @ Jurong 933 enjoyed a relaxing and creative Zentangle session!

With no right or wrong, and no expectations to meet, Zentangle is all about enjoying the simple act of putting pen to paper and letting creativity flow, one line and pattern at a time. Each stroke becomes a small moment of relaxation, turning a simple piece of paper into a meaningful expression of creativity and joy.

At Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society, we believe that every moment matters. Through activities like Zentangle, we hope to bring our seniors not only opportunities to stay engaged, but also moments of peace, connection and happiness.

At 72, Samsiah Bte Abdullah has been fighting leukaemia since 2012. Despite her own health struggles, she continues to care for her son, who has an intellectual disability. Her greatest concern is not for herself, but for her son’s future.

Last Saturday, staff from Angela Lim Organisation of HSBC Life Insurance Pte Ltd dedicated their time to support Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society (CHWSS) in distributing grocery packs to seniors in need.

Their participation reflects the true spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), where giving back goes beyond financial contributions. Through their time and effort, the volunteers helped bring essential groceries, warmth and care to our elderly beneficiaries.

More than 30 CBRE Staffs came together with the Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society team to pack grocery gift packs for seniors in need.

As part of the CBRE x CHWSS CSR partnership, CBRE sponsored the groceries and joined us in preparing the packs with care and heart.

The gift packs were then delivered to more than 200 Afterlife Memorial Service (AMS) beneficiaries at French Road and other locations across the community, bringing practical support and a little extra warmth to seniors who may be living alone.

A heartfelt thank you to the CBRE staffs for giving their time and energy to make a difference. Together, these small acts of care can bring comfort, dignity and joy to our seniors.

We welcome corporates who share our commitment to caring for seniors to join us in making a meaningful difference. Whether through volunteering, in-kind support or CSR partnerships, every helping hand can bring greater care and dignity to those in need.

Yesterday evening, we were honoured to bid farewell to the JUMBO Seafood flagship outlet at East Coast, a cherished place that has welcomed generations of customers and created countless wonderful memories. Thank you, JUMBO Seafood, for being part of these treasured memories.

Together, JUMBO Seafood raised funds in support of six charity beneficiaries, contributing to the meaningful work we do and the communities we serve.

Look at Mr Lian’s smile. Behind that smile is a sense of peace, comfort and hope.

At 75, Mr Lian Loy Seng lives alone with no family to turn to. He once worried about who would care for him when the time comes. Through Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society’s Afterlife Memorial Service, he now knows he will not be forgotten or left alone. His final arrangements will be cared for with dignity and respect.

That peace of mind brought a smile to his face. Your kindness can bring the same comfort to more seniors like Mr Lian. Your donation can give them reassurance, dignity and the knowledge that someone cares.

Ms Irene, 58 lives with and cares for her mother, who her Mother is also our AMS member living with Stage 4 cancer.

Through CHWSS, they receive Medical Es**rt & Transport (MET) and Afterlife Memorial Service (AMS) support, giving them care, dignity and peace of mind through difficult times.
