🌍 The WWF-SG Earth Hour Virtual Run 2026 has come to a close!

Over the past two months, more than 500 participants walked, ran and cycled for nature, proving that every action counts. Together, we turned movement into meaningful impact.

As WWF-Singapore and Earth Hour celebrate 20 years, every kilometre completed and every hour logged has helped drive this movement forward towards a greener, healthier future 💚

Can eating healthily also contribute to a healthier planet?

The answer is yes. Simple swaps like eating more vegetables and plant proteins and choosing fresh food over processed options are good for your body and good for the environment.

Being mindful about your food choices does not have to be complicated. To help you get started, we have put together six practical principles to guide everyday food choices, grounded in the latest research and tailored to the Singapore context.

A weekend spent celebrating nature is a weekend well spent. 💚

Between wildlife trivia, conservation games, conversations about the outdoors, and meeting fellow nature lovers... we had an amazing time spending the weekend with all of you!

As WWF-Singapore marks 20 years in Singapore and WWF’s 65 years globally, moments like these remind us that conservation is strongest when communities come together.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to say hi, learned more about our conservation work, explored wildlife through our activities, and spent time with us celebrating Singapore’s rich biodiversity. We can’t wait to see you again at our future events and programmes, so keep an eye out for what’s coming next!: bit.ly/wwfsgprogs 🫶

Can you feel the heat?

Singapore just clocked temperatures nudging 35°C, and this June is only the beginning. El Niño is forecast to hit between June and July, with warmer, drier conditions expected through October.

Now imagine feeling that underwater.

When ocean temperatures rise just 1°C above normal for an extended period, corals begin to starve. They start to expel the algae living in their tissues, turn ghostly white, and lose their primary source of nourishment. This phenomenon has a name: coral bleaching. For reefs, it's survival mode.

But here is what we are holding onto today.

Corals are resilient. They have survived four global mass bleaching events, including the most recent one in 2025. Where they are protected, they recover. Where communities show up for them, they return. Every action that reduces heat gives them more time to recover.

This World Oceans Day, we are celebrating the reefs still standing, the communities still caring, and the ocean that still has a fighting chance.

Happy World Oceans Day. 🌊

The food we eat every day has a bigger environmental footprint than most of us are aware of.

Our food system accounts for a third of global greenhouse gas emissions, is the leading driver of biodiversity loss, and uses about two thirds of the world's freshwater.

At the same time, 40% of all food grown never gets eaten.

Understanding these connections is the first step to making more informed choices at the supermarket, at the hawker centre, and at home.

The colours you see... are not the colours our wildlife sees. 👀
Take a peek with us this weekend at the !

These images probably don’t make much sense right now, but it’ll all become clear once you find us at our booth today and tomorrow. We’ll be at the Festival of Biodiversity 2026, as part of the annual event organised by National Parks Board in collaboration with the Biodiversity Roundtable, you’ll get to explore Singapore’s natural heritage with us and many other biodiversity groups over the next two days.

As WWF-Singapore marks 20 years in Singapore and WWF’s 65 years globally, moments like these reflect the importance of connecting people more deeply with nature and strengthening collective action to protect biodiversity for the future.

This year, we are excited to give you a peek into how wildlife may perceive the world around them. Using a special set of glasses that we created just for this activity, you’ll be able to view scenes designed to simulate different landscapes from their perspectives! (Ps. Do note that these are illustrative representations and not exact depictions.)

And... that’s not all! We are also hosting three sessions of our board game, Conservation Seekers, tomorrow. You may find yourself answering trivia or acting out animal behaviours to race your way through this game. 🤭

🌏 Happy World Environment Day! When communities act, the ocean has a chance. 🌊

On Ticao Island, WWF-Philippines has been working with local governments and communities to strengthen solid waste management by providing essential equipment and raising awareness about plastic pollution. Across Monreal, San Jacinto, San Fernando, and Batuan, local staff have been trained and students engaged because lasting change starts with empowering the people who call this place home. 🐠

Located within one of the Philippines’ most important marine protected areas, Ticao Island is home to coral reefs, seagrass beds, and countless marine species that depend on clean waters. Every piece of plastic kept off these shores helps protect marine life and support coastal livelihoods. 🪸

Ticao Island shows that with the right tools, training, and community action, we can turn the tide on plastic pollution. This is just the beginning. 💚
