🌱 Introducing *Upcycle to Create* 🌱

A brand new series of community upcycling sessions by Commenhers × Yuhua SewMates.

More than just a workshop, *Upcycle to Create* is a space for people to come together, learn simple creative skills, meet like-minded individuals, and get inspired by the amazing makers from our community.

For our first session, we'll be transforming discarded plastic bags into unique cardholders using simple heat-bonding and sewing techniques. No prior experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

At Yuhua SewMates, we believe creativity should be accessible to everyone. That's why we're keeping the fee at just **$2 per participant**, which goes towards supporting basic material costs and instructor facilitation time.

Whether you're interested in sustainability, crafting, or simply looking to connect with others in your neighbourhood, we'd love to have you join us 💚

A wonderful Saturday morning spent celebrating our amazing mothers and families at our Mother’s Day celebration hosted by Minister Grace Fu 💐

As part of the PAP Women’s Wing Support for Mothers initiative, we were happy to gift this special celebration to our PCF children and families.
From hands-on upcycled banner card holder making, outdoor games, refreshments, and fun activities for the little ones, there was something for everyone — but the magic show was definitely the crowd favourite! 🎩✨

It was heartwarming to see so many happy families bonding together. Thank you to all who joined us and made the event such a joyful and memorable one ❤️

Spent the Sunday morning celebrating Mother’s Day with residents and volunteers. 🥳🥳 Glad to have Minister Grace Fu join us as we gave out flower bouquets and also goodie bags sponsored by Sian Chay Medical Institution. 🌸🌸 It was heartwarming to see so many smile.

Big thank you as well to all our dedicated volunteers for taking time out to help and spread joy to the community. Small acts of care like these continue to keep our kampung spirit strong and bring people closer together. 💐

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums out there — hope you had a lovely and well-deserved day ❤️

What an amazing Saturday morning at our PCF Yuhua Earth Day event! It was a great success with a huge crowd and wonderful energy throughout the 3 hours, bringing extra vibrancy and cheerful atmosphere to the Yuhua Village hawker centre. The event attracted many residents and hawker centre patrons to join in the fun, while adding to the weekend buzz.

We were delighted to showcase the beautiful art and craft displays by our preschoolers, with many proud parents coming down to show their support. Our partner booths were equally bustling with activity, featuring food rescue distribution, coffee body scrub making, upcycled banner card holder redemption, adopt-a-plant/veggie, and waterpods making. The pandan leaf rose-making activity was especially popular, with both young and old eager to learn.

There were plenty of treats for everyone too – free flow popcorn, muah chee, White Rabbit ice cream and candies, all snapped up quickly!

A truly fun-filled and meaningful morning for families and residents. Thank you to everyone who came down to support, and a big appreciation to our Yuhua PCF team and all our partners for your hard work and effort in making this event possible.
