Our volunteers had the privilege of spending some precious time with Mr. Chng and his sister once again.

Sometimes, it’s not about doing something big.
Just sitting together, having a simple conversation, sharing a few smiles and letting them know that someone cares that itself means so much. 🥹

Our volunteers brought something simple but meaningful to our elderly at the old folk home. 🥹

💇 Free Haircuts a little grooming,
a little confidence, and a big smile.

🌿 Free TCM & Acupuncture
hoping to bring them some comfort and relief.

Seeing their smiles and hearing their “thank you” reminds us why we keep going. 😭❤️

But behind every visit, there are many helping hands.

🙏 Without the generous support and donations from our sponsors and friends, none of this would be possible.

And to all our volunteers, thank you for giving your precious time, energy and love to be there for our elderly.

Together, we may not be able to change the whole world, but we can make one elderly person feel loved, cared for and remembered. ❤️

During our monthly volunteer visit, we spent some precious time with a 91-year-old Ah Ma. ❤️

We sat beside her, held her hands, listened to her stories and shared a few simple moments together.

Her smile was simple, but it touched our hearts.

Sometimes, all they need is someone to be there, to listen, and to remind them that they are not forgotten. ❤️

We’re also grateful to an anonymous sponsor for generously providing essential items for the elderly. Your kindness means so much.

可怕的是，

还有没有人愿意陪在身边？

有些老人，
不是没有家，
而是回家的那扇门，
已经不再为他们打开。

有些老人，
不是没有孩子，
而是孩子已经有了自己的生活，
渐渐忘了……
那个曾经牵着他们的手，
把他们养大的人。

于是，
老人院成了他们晚年生活的地方。

“Hello Ah Ma, so long never see you! We’ve been looking for you up and down. Finally, we found you here!” ❤️

Ah Ma 93 years old smiled and replied,
“Yeah lor… my body was getting weaker and weaker, so I have to stay in a nursing home.”

Today our volunteers visited Mdm Lee at Fu Hui Link Grace Lodge, Sengkang.

Mdm Lee was previously at AWWA AMK for 24 years.
In recent years, her health became weaker and she was admitted to hospital last year November .

After her discharge, she moved to Fu Hui Link Grace Lodge in Sengkang.

It was so heartwarming to finally see her again. We spent time singing her favourite Hokkien songs, chatting, laughing and catching up. 🎶❤️

For us, it was more than just a visit. It was about letting Auntie know that she is remembered, she is cared for, and she is never forgotten. ❤️

Hello 👋,
how are you feeling today ?”

“Same same lor… here pain, there pain. Aiya…”

“What about your husband?”

“Also not so good lately… both of us just take it day by day lor.”

This month, our volunteers visited Mdm Fatima (name changed to protect her privacy).

She is living with diabetes and several other health issues, and recently lost one of her toes due to complications from diabetes.

Her husband is battling cancer, and with no children to rely on, the two of them continue to face each day together.

Today was a day filled with joy, laughter and love! ❤️

A BIG thank you to Pois Boutique and their amazing staff for fully sponsoring today’s event including adult diapers, yummy lunch, packet drinks, delicious cake and red packets. 🎁🍰🥤

All of us had such a wonderful time together.

We sang, danced, chatted, laughed and played games with the elderly, creating many happy moments and beautiful memories. 🥰
