🎈👩🏼‍⚕️👨🏿‍⚕️Our volunteers are back into action today! APM’s first service session of 2024 at Covent Indus opened up from 8am-11am this Sunday morning with over 40 elderlies of lower income group getting free routine nail treatment and foot health check. One of our biggest mission is to help reduce diabetic foot ulcers that lead to foot & leg amputations.

This is one of the two charitable APM(S) podiatry community clinics we operate. Only made possible with selfless volunteers and our kind corporate donors ❤️

We warmly welcome more podiatrists in Singapore to join us in our effort to making an impact in healthcare through Podiatry🙏🏼

Hello friends from Buona Vista and Commonwealth Close! We're thrilled to be in your neighbourhood! 👋

Following the success of our first community podiatry clinic for the elderly at Delta Indus RN, we're excited to announce the expansion of our service to a second location - Block 83B Commonwealth Close RN office!

On Sunday, 10 December 2023 we conducted our inaugural session with the Buona Vista community! The main aims of the clinics are to increase foot health awareness and provide basic podiatric care to the senior residents of Buona Vista constituency with this free service*.

Our Schedule:
📅 Every 2nd Sunday of the month, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Block 83B Commonwealth Close RN office

If you or your parents are residents of Buona Vista constituency and are eligible to attend this free community clinic service, do visit us! We look forward to seeing you!

*60 years and above, holders of either Blue/Orange CHAS card or Public Assistance recipients.

🇸🇬🌤️Today is another milestone for us! This is the first clinic session of our 2nd APM(S) Community Podiatry Clinic for the Elderly at Commonwealth! ❤️🙏🏼😃 Association of Podiatric Medicine

Our team of volunteers are extremely proud to always give their personal time to help elderlies of lower income with their feet and legs. The charitable work our volunteers do goes a long way to preventing lower limb amputations from diabetes and other conditions such as vascular insufficiency and infections. 👨🏻‍⚕️🧑🏼‍⚕️🦠

The International Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment (ISMST) was finally back in full force last year as they held their 2022 conference in Prague. The ISMST holds conferences and certification courses all over the world each year.

Through the years, Medical shockwave treatment has advanced tremedously in the field of medicine and podiatrists around the world have effectively used it to treat lower limb musculoskeletal conditions.

Last weekend marked a momentous milestone for Podiatry in Singapore! 🇸🇬 ❤️ We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Josephine Teo, our Minister for Communications and Information and Second Minister for Home Affairs, for gracing the official opening of the Community Podiatry Clinic for the Elderly, along with the members of Covent-Indus Residents' Committee (CIRC).

We would also like to thank the volunteers at the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) and our corporate donors for their contributions. We are indeed proud to be Singapore's first charitable Podiatry Clinic and we hope to be able to do more! Therefore, we would like to invite more Singapore business owners and Podiatrists to join us on this journey.

The Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) mission is to help seniors in Singapore who are from lower-income families by providing free lower limb screening and toenail trimming services. Many are unable to do so because they have poor eyesight, do not have steady hands, or are unable to reach their toes. It becomes even more concerning if they are diabetic and may inadvertently cause a wound on their toes.

The APM(S) is a registered non-profit organisation representing Podiatrists and affiliated professionals in Singapore & Asia. Our association warmly welcomes the participation of professionals within the relevant fields, in our efforts to advance the profession.

Our goals:
- To promote greater public awareness of Podiatry in Singapore
- To promote Podiatric medicine and Podiatry as a rewarding career choice to Singaporean youths
- To establish more charitable Community Podiatry Clinics for elderlies in Singapore from the lower income group
- To advance the profession of Podiatry in Singapore through partnerships with the Ministry of Health
- To elevate the quality of Podiatry in Singapore by inviting foreign experts to share their field of knowledge and expertise
- To encourage more businesses and individuals to donate and volunteer at our free service APM(S) Community Clinic for the Elderlies
- To help fight the war against Diabetes and preventing lower limb amputations
- To invite more foreign and domestic thought leaders to join us in our cause
