The IFLA-APR Talk & Share Series brings together landscape architects and professionals across the Asia-Pacific region to exchange ideas, research, and innovative projects shaping the future of landscape architecture. Hosted by the Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA), this session explores the theme “A Visionary Flow: From Strategic Leverage to Transboundary Resilience,” highlighting how landscape architecture can address complex environmental challenges through strategic design, governance, and nature-based solutions.

The session features two presentations that move from macro-level strategies to on-the-ground landscape interventions. Mr. Sajjapongs Lekuthai (Landprocess) presents “Water as Leverage: Mediating Complexity through Design-Led Governance,” demonstrating how landscape design can bridge national policies and local river basin realities through collaborative processes. Mr. Touchapon Suntrajarn (Landscape Collaboration) presents “Healing the Kok: A Visionary Plan for Transboundary Arsenic Remediation,” introducing a nature-based approach using restored oxbow lakes and phytoremediation to address arsenic pollution in the Kok River.
Moderated by Professor Pranisa Boonkham (Thammasat University), this session highlights how strategic thinking and nature-based landscape solutions can transform complex water challenges into opportunities for regional resilience, collaboration, and ecological restoration.
