新加坡唢呐/管学会 Suona and Guan Society - Singapore

The society aims to promote and contribute to the development of Suona and Guan in Singapore.

The Suona and Guan Society (Singapore) was established in 2021, consisting of professional musicians from various orchestra and teachers who are at the frontier of music education and award-winning soloists. The society seeks to provide various holistic music programmes such as masterclasses, instrumental classes, performance platform and holiday music camp.

新加坡唢呐/管学会成立于2021年，致力于在本地弘扬华族传统音乐艺术，传承

唢呐、管子音乐文化，提升唢呐、管子演奏技艺。学会团结了新加坡各年龄层及不同种族的唢呐、管子乐手，包括各乐团的演奏家、活跃在教学第一线的唢呐、管子教师以及历年全国华乐比赛唢呐各组别的获奖者。为了本地唢呐、管子的教育发展，学会将会定期举办讲座、技能提升培训班、假期音乐营，并邀请海外唢呐、管著名演奏家，与学会合作联办音乐会和短期大师培训班，借助新加坡科技发达的优势，学会也将充分利用互联网线上平台模式来进行一系列的活动，吸引大众、增进及丰富大家对唢呐和管子音乐上的认识。同时，为了促进与海外的交流与互动，学会将不定期安排会员到中国著名音乐学府作短期体验学习，造访中国各地民间唢呐、管之乡，扎根民间、浸濡学习，培养后继人才。

Singapore Chinese Orchestra Suona musicians Mr. Jacky Ng and Mr. Qiu Yan Tang will jointly present “Advancing Fundamentals, Exploring Intermediate Artistry.” Presented in two parts, the session will explore effective approaches to building a strong technical foundation while developing the artistic and interpretative skills required for intermediate-level performance also providing insights into the preliminary repertoire of the upcoming Singapore Chinese Music Competition.

新加坡华乐团唢呐演奏家黄永和老师与邱彦棠老师将联合主讲《启奏入门·精研中级》。活动将分为两个环节进行：第一部分由黄永和老师分享唢呐学习方法、基础训练及练习技巧，帮助学生建立扎实的演奏基础，并掌握更有效率的学习方式，快速入门；第二部分则由邱彦棠老师深入探讨中级演奏技巧、音乐诠释与艺术表现，并结合即将举行的新加坡华乐比赛初赛曲目进行分析与分享，为参赛者及学习者提供宝贵的参考与启发。

The bright, soaring notes of the Suona blow away the worries of the past,
While the deep, mellow tones of the Guan hold our peace throughout the year.

🎊 Exciting News! All three performances of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s annual grand event “Rhapsodies of Spring 2026”, featuring several leading teachers and members from the Suona and Guan Society - Singapore, are completely sold out! 🎫

In this concert, we are especially proud to recommend：A Guan solo by our Vice President, Shuo Zhang — “The Carefree Journey, Mvt II Clouds”.🎶🎶🎶

Composed by Kuan Nai-Chung, this piece carries a profound and flowing artistic conception. Through the seamless collaboration and interpretation between Zhang Shuo and the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, it is sure to showcase the unique depth and vastness of the Guan. This is a highlight that our society members and all music lovers won’t want to miss!

We’re thrilled to invite everyone to our upcoming student showcase, where our Suona and Guan learners will share the music they’ve been preparing for the Grading Examinations！

This event is a great opportunity for students to gain performance experience and receive constructive feedback from professional Suona teacher before their examinations.
