📢 Regional collaboration is essential to addressing one of Southeast Asia’s most pressing challenges: access to safe, decent and affordable housing.
Last week, our National Director, Daniel, joined 11 National Directors and Board Chairs from across the Asia-Pacific region in Batam for a strategic workshop and build hosted by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. Together, leaders shared programme learnings, explored partnership opportunities, and aligned on how we can strengthen our collective impact across the region.
These conversations were followed by a hands-on build, where 35 leaders helped construct three climate-adaptive homes and refreshed a community facility in Sei Beduk District, part of Habitat Indonesia’s broader initiative to build 71 homes for families in need.
For Habitat for Humanity Singapore, this partnership reflects more than two decades of collaboration with Habitat Indonesia. Since 2004, we have supported 3,618 housing and water-related solutions, demonstrating how cross-border partnerships can drive meaningful, lasting change.
🥳When we come together to share knowledge, align strategies and take action, we can create stronger, more resilient communities across the region.
