The 'Climate Fresk' is familiar to many of us in the environmental space. But here’s the twist: this time, our kids are taking the lead! 🌱🧠

One month ago, we asked: can our children be active agents in climate education, not just learning, but leading the way?

We believe they can.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working with a group of incredible young minds: not just as participants, but as peer educators who can guide, prompt, question, and inspire. Watching them step up with confidence has been nothing short of powerful. Now, they’re ready to co-lead their first Climate Fresk session for peers their age! 🫡

Join us for a 🌟special edition🌟 of Climate Fresk for Juniors (for ages 10–13) and witness what climate education can look like when we trust kids to lead the way. Here, we spotlight some of the thoughtful conversations we have been having during our prep sessions. 💬

We are a proud Outreach Partner of SYNC, Sustainability in my Community alongside .eco and ! 🤩

Organized and hosted by the amazing team at , Series 2 of SYNC will unpack topics on circular economy and combating waste. 💪🏼♻️

SYNC is a 5-Part Social Impact series to engage Singaporeans on how sustainability impacts our society. By gamifying topics from climate change, to circular economy, biodiversity and digital footprints, SYNC offers an unique approach of a Fresk or Collage to sustainability education that blends fun and learning together, while creating opportunities for connection. 🙌🏼

Furthermore, after attending a workshop, TTP offers the opportunity for you to be trained as a facilitator for subsequent workshops for the community. Our team is getting trained and excited to join in a community of sustainability champions and peer facilitators!

Come wrap up the year together with a sharing of insights by our COP29 Singapore Youth Delegates, pizza and good company! 🍕🍕🍕

1️⃣ 4:00pm to 5:30pm: Sharing by Singapore Youth Delegates to COP29 🤓

Our youth delegates will share their experiences at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and break out into smaller groups to dive deep into the various topics!

As the co-lead of the Singapore Youth Delegation to COP29, MJ will also provide an overview of the Climate Youth Development Programme and what might be in store for COP30 in 2025, which will be held in Belém, Brasil.

2️⃣ 5:30pm onwards: Open-space pizza party 🥳

Get to know the climate community and build new connections over slices of joy. Share topics or activities that excite you, or jump into climate games hosted by our friends and ! 🤗

In October, alongside peer trainers and alumni from .nus , we ran the first public run of the Italy-ARENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I-ACT) in Singapore at the Singapore Sustainability Academy, thanks to the generous venue support by CDL and the team. 🌱

The toolkit was officially launched in December 2022 as a training programme for young climate leaders, jointly organized between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). from attended the first phase of the programme and conducted the inaugural workshop targeted at NUS students with .nus in June this year.

In line with Energy CoLab's aim to make energy education more accessible, we are grateful to have collaborated with Natalie, Elizabeth, Ryan, Si Liang and Bianca to bring this to a greater audience! In addition to the six comprehensive modules in the toolkit - from the fundamentals of debunking myths of climate change to energy scenarios, energy policies, other impacts and solutions - we led a mini crash course on Singapore's energy landscape. Where are we now, and what can be done better? 🇸🇬

In particular, the facilitated activities brought our amazing participants together through discussions and even a debate! 👀

Our community of peer trainers here in Singapore continues to grow, and we're looking forward to building it and leading more public workshops in the new year!
