Launched in 2016, U Heart encourages young working adults to give back to the society. Find out how you can volunteer with us & funding you can apply for! About The U Heart Annual Mass Activation
U Heart annual mass activation provides a readily available volunteering platform for young working adults and our young union leaders to volunteer and give back to the society. The mass activation is
centered on the theme of appreciation. In 2020, our online campaign, where we rallied everyone to show your appreciation for our essential workers, have received very good responses from all of you. This year, we hope to invite you to join us in giving our healthcare workers working in the vaccination centres and nursing homes a morale boost! Here's how:
Step 1: Visit www.yntuc.sg/uheart2021
Step 2: Pen a message or word of encouragement for the healthcare workers working in the vaccination centres and nursing homes
Your message will be printed on a postcard and distributed to the healthcare workers at our identified vaccination centres and nursing homes. For every message received, NTUC Income will pledge $3 to the NTUC U Care Fund, which helps low-income members and their families through various assistance programmes to defray their cost of living and children’s school expenses., as well as members whose livelihoods have been affected by COVID-19. Be part of this meaningful initiative today! Spread the words! About The U Heart Start-up Fund
The U Heart Start-Up Fund enables our young working adults, young union leaders and partners to organise multiple ground up volunteering initiatives in support of the U Heart campaign. In consideration of Covid-19 requirements for safe distancing and a New Normal including initiatives to do-good, nEbO, Young NTUC and NTUC Income recognizes that higher costs may be incurred in terms of the expenses per beneficiary by spreading out the number of engagements over more occasions due to smaller group engagements or organizing mass digital engagements. The funding criteria would be updated as per below from 6 November 2020:
Tier 1: More than 50% of volunteers are nEbO/NTUC Members
- First dollar funding to a cap of $3,000
Tier 2: Less than 50% of volunteers are not nEbO/NTUC Members
- First dollar funding to a cap of $2,000
