“The Telling My Story workshop taught me that impactful stories don't have to cover a lifetime. Sometimes, sharing just one meaningful chapter is enough to spark reflection and connection. As I prepared for the CARE Network Summit 2026, I learnt how to turn my sharing into a conversation with the audience, rather than a monologue. More importantly, I hoped my story would encourage others to reflect on their own journeys and possibilities.”
– Rizwan Habib, Yellow Ribbon Cares (YR Cares) Titan

These were the reflections shared by Habib, one of the Titans (successfully reintegrated ex-offenders that volunteers with YR Cares) who participated in the Telling My Story workshop held at Just Brewin, fully funded by . Rizwan also had the opportunity to put his learning into practice by sharing his story at the CARE Network Summit 2026 recently.

A group of 12 Yellow Ribbon Cares came together for a four-part experiential learning journey that incorporated kinesthetic learning components to strengthen their storytelling skills. This marks the third year that has partnered with to equip (volunteers with YR Cares) with the skills to share their personal stories in a way that inspires positive transformation and creates greater impact in the community. The thought-provoking and engaging training sessions were masterfully facilitated by Timothy Khoo and Christine Tan.

Through the programme, Titans learn to craft and share their stories with purpose, authenticity and confidence. Equipped with these skills, they engage diverse audiences, including students and educational institutions, as part of their community outreach and engagement efforts.

SIMPDF is proud to be part of the Titans' journey and looks forward to seeing more Titans step forward to share their stories, inspire hope, and create meaningful change in the community.
