Last month, around 30 students from NorthLight School (Official) received the Progression Awards. These awards support students in their final year as they take the next step in their journey.

The certificates were presented by SIMPDF Board Member, Ms Elizabeth Chau, in the presence of teachers, students, and family members who gathered to celebrate this meaningful milestone. During the ceremony, students also shared their personal journeys and experiences.

One of the recipients, Raizelle Princess D/O Raj Kumar , shared her thoughts:

“Receiving the SIMPDF Award is a great honour for me. It reminds me that hard work and not giving up really matter. I’m very grateful to everyone in NorthLight School who believed in me and supported me throughout my journey. I would also like to thank SIMPDF for sponsoring this award and encouraging students like us to keep striving and doing our best.”

We are proud to support these students as they move forward with confidence and determination, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with NorthLight School through the MOU signed in March to benefit more students.

In line with our mission to provide beneficiaries under the pillar with greater access to meaningful learning and employment pathways, SIMPDF will be enhancing our support over the next three years across four MOE schools.

On 25 March 2026, SIMPDF formalised this commitment through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Assumption Pathway School, NorthLight School (Official), Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School. This partnership will support more than 200 students, including those with special educational needs, through the SIMPDF Progression Awards and SIMPDF Apprenticeship Awards.

The momentous occasion was graced by Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee. SIMPDF is committing up to $600,000 over three years in 2026 to 2028 to the four MOE schools.

Building on our support for these schools through various programmes and awards, we look forward to deepening our partnership to nurture each student’s potential and create better opportunities for their future.
