Dear parents, National Day Rally came with some good news. 🎁

Raising children is a big job. And honestly, sometimes it feels like everything comes with a price tag, a waiting list or a form to fill in. 😂

So we’re glad to see several new measures announced to support Singaporean families..

This year’s announcements include:
- More childcare leave
- More financial support for every child
- More affordable preschool
- More housing support for families
- Extra help for larger families

Basically: more time, more support, slightly less “wah, so expensive”. 😆

“Everyone else is doing it!” 😩

Sound familiar?

When teens feel pressured by their friends, our first instinct might be to tell them what they should or shouldn’t do. But sometimes, asking the right questions can help them think through the situation for themselves.

Try asking:
💬 “What do you think about it?”
💬 “What would you do if you weren’t comfortable?”
💬 “How could you say no without feeling left out?”

These little conversations give teens a safe space to practise making their own decisions so when we’re not around, they feel more confident making choices they’re comfortable with.

What’s one phrase your teen has used when trying to convince you that “everyone else” is doing something? 😂

We’ve all been there, and chances are another parent has too.

Sometimes, knowing you’re not the only one is exactly the reassurance you need. Parenting isn’t about having perfect moments, it’s about learning, growing, and supporting one another through the challenging ones. 💛

🤨 “Mum, that’s so NPC.”
😅 “Dad, you’ve got no rizz.”

…Wait, what?! 😵‍💫

You do not need to become a gamer to connect with your teen. Sometimes, learning a little of their language can be a fun way to step into their world and start meaningful conversations. 🎮

Parents, how well do you know your teen’s lingo?

Sometimes, their “I’m fine” comes with a little more beneath the surface...

The good news? You do not always need the perfect response. Sometimes, being present and ready to listen is enough.

Parents, how would you decode your teenager’s “I’m fine”?
1️⃣ “I’m not fine.”
2️⃣ “I’m not ready to explain why.”
3️⃣ “I’ll tell you everything at exactly 11.43pm… when you’re about to sleep.” 😂

‘Journey to Wellness’, a family-bonding event under the National Family Festival 2026, brought together over 250 participants from the Jalan Besar, Toa Payoh and Bishan region for a meaningful day of curated learning, bonding and fun! 💜

Organised by TOUCH Community Services in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School, the event featured three experiential wellness stations on family, digital and mental wellness, helping families build positive habits, strengthen relationships and support one another’s well-being through interactive activities.

Graced by Mr Cai Yinzhou 蔡引舟, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC (Toa Payoh Central), the event was a wonderful reminder of the power of family connection in nurturing holistic well-being.

Swipe right to get a glimpse of what happened at the event! A big thank you to all our partners and families for making the day so special!
