🎻 Calling Elderly String Players! Join Us for a Special SG60 Performance at Changi Airport 🇸🇬✨

This World Strings Day (17 Aug), we're honouring our Silver Generation — the pioneers whose resilience and love built our nation. 💪❤️

We're inviting 6 elderly string musicians (60 and above) to join our youth orchestras in a powerful intergenerational performance of:

You don’t need to be a pro — just bring your heart, experience, and love for music. Whether you play the 🎻 violin, 🎻 viola, or 🎻 cello, we’d love to have you be part of this healing and joyful celebration at Changi Airport.

GAF 2024 marks a new era of collaborative and interdisciplinary artistry, showcasing music as a complementary force. Together, we empower musicians to thrive and make a meaningful impact. Celebrating Singapore’s 59th with Music Across Borders 🌟🇸🇬

World Strings Day- We’re incredibly proud to share that Singapore’s 59th birthday was celebrated in style with a spectacular musical performance! Our Global Art Festival’s resident orchestra Singapore Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, joined forces with guest orchestras from Brunei Youth Symphony, OSUI Mahawaditra Strings Ensemble from Indonesia, the Global Youth Ensemble and talented musicians from Hwa Chong Institution and 10 local music schools. Together, they delivered a stunning rendition of the iconic song "Home" at the beautiful Gardens by the Bay.

🎻 Join us at our upcoming World Strings Day (WSD) for National Day held at Gardens by the Bay!

At WSD, we believe that music is a powerful tool that unites musicians and people alike. This is why we continuously organise WSD events year after year. This National Day, we are organising an extra special WSD with friends from all over Southeast Asia joining us to play to the tunes of some National Day classics.

Invitation is open to violin schools and studios.
