After five incredible years, the time has come to turn the page. With over 450 tutor-tutee connections made and more than 4,000 hours of tutoring provided, Kindlespark is proud of the journey we’ve shared. Thank you for being part of it.

While all good things must come to an end, the impact we’ve made together will always remain. As of now, Kindlespark will be concluding its operations.

With the move into home-based learning for students, we anticipate an increased demand for virtual academic assistance. With that, we wish to introduce our Kindlespark homework help telegram channel!

Should you require any assistance with your homework, simply snap a photo, submit it to us and we will broadcast it to our network of tutors! All this will be free with no charges at all!

Following a successful pilot series in February, Kindlespark will be officially launching our enrichment series in the June Holidays with the introduction to web development course! This course is targeted at students aged 13 - 20 and will kick start their journey in learning web development by allowing students to create a dynamic webpage by the end of 7 sessions.

Similar to the previous cycle, the course is fully sponsored for students under financial aid and affordable (below market rate) for students that are not on financial aid.

We are also happy to partner with NLB for our pro bono sessions! The venue for Students under financial aid will be at Bukit Panjang Public Library and at Serangoon Midtowns for those who are not.

Madam Linda and her son are among the beneficiaries of ComLink, which was launched in 2019 at four locations to better support families with children living in rental housing.

“There are many programmes being offered at ComLink. My son, who is in Primary 3, needs guidance in his studies and receives tuition there. It has been a smooth and happy experience for my son. He loves the fun and enjoys interacting with his teachers and friends. It is convenient as the programme is located just next to my block so I do not need to worry about travelling,” said Madam Linda.

Thanks to the partnership between government agencies, companies and community partners, Madam Linda's son participates in KidsExcel Singapore (an inclusive Sports and Academic development programme), a tuition programme with social enterprise Kindlespark, a reading programme with Bringing Love to Every Single Soul (BLESS) and MoneyWhizz SG (a financial literacy workshop for young children run by NUS students).

To help her with her health needs, Madam Linda also receives free essential medical treatment through SATA CommHealth’s Doctors-On-Wheels service.

Over the next two years, ComLink will be expanded nation-wide to 21 towns, benefitting 14,000 families. ComLink provides proactive outreach to these families, close case support depending on families’ needs and customised programmes and services through galvanizing the community. Since our pilot period, we have been collaborating with Marsiling ComLink to provide tuition to their beneficiaries.

As we expand our reach to other SSOs across the regions, we are also stepping up recruitment of pro-bono tutors and paying tutees.

Kindlespark is launching our brand new enrichment series in February with the introduction to web development course! This course is the first of many as we aim to provide typically expensive enrichment courses, at lower fees to all and fully sponsored for students that are on financial aid.

This introductory course strives to equip enthusiastic young students with the basic skills needed to create a simple webapp. No experience is required; all we need is your enthusiasm! From here, the sky is the limit, as you let your creativity run wild in developing new webapps in your own free time!

We will expose the seemingly daunting task of coding to younger students (aged 13-18), to prepare you for your journey to learning web development and to kindle your spark in this space!
