Mad About Giving’sThaipusam Outreach

While many of us marked the weekend with prayer, rest, or time with family, there were workers who continued on under the sun, on the ground, building the homes we live in.

This weekend, Mad About Giving shared 500 warm meals with workers along Tanjong Rhu Road, supporting those at nearby HDB sites.

200 meals on Thursday

300 meals on Saturday

It is always about letting them know their effort matters, their sacrifices matter, and they are not forgotten even during festive periods.

Deep gratitude to our volunteers and supporters who gave their time, energy, and hearts. This is what giving looks like 🙏🏽💙💛

We began 2026 the same way we began MadAboutGiving - by showing up💙💛

Our first initiative of the year brought 50 migrant workers together for a day of enjoyment, connection, and shared moments at Bird Paradise and the Zoo.

On October 18th, Deepavali Day, we came together to spread kindness across multiple sites, bringing smiles to hundreds of workers who enjoyed a festive meal. The gratitude and joy shared that day have touched our hearts. Thank you to everyone for making this celebration so special!✨🪔 Wishing everyone a joyous Deepavali ❤️

Shiva’s journey from his village to Singapore has been driven by one goal: supporting his family. When he arrived, English was a barrier, but with the support of Karuna and Mad About Giving, he’s turned that challenge into an opportunity. Since September, he’s been taking online English classes every Sunday with a retired professor from Delhi University, making remarkable progress. From simple sentences to writing full passages, Shiva’s determination is evident in every step. With the addition of a new laptop, he’s able to continue his learning efficiently and confidently. For Shiva, mastering English is key to building a successful future and we’re proud to help him along the way.
