Dementia & Co has been funded 100% by Alison & Jamie. We’re grateful to all partners who supported us with refreshments and event spaces, but our private support-forum group meetings, regular Tea Dances, Zoom exercises, choirs, talent shows, festive activities and more require many hours of manpower and significant logistics and event costs — all of which come out of our own pockets.
We are the only ground-up initiative led by People Living with Dementia (PLWD). To-date, we’ve worked closely with 300 families and thousands of others through our Talks and T-Dances. Some members have passed on; we learn to be prepared for the worst and live for the best. This year, AIC co-led our first symposium with our 50 PLWD, attended by 200 medical professionals.
