celebrating pride through colours ๐

pride is about the acceptance of the diversity that exists amongst us, representing a call for greater inclusivity. It encourages us to linger and sit with difference, approaching it with curiosity and respect, whilst holding space for questions ๐ซ
here we see light sculptures by artist Tow Theow Huang, with each comprising of acrylic sheets with variously etched patterns on their surfaces, placed one behind another. When they were first displayed at Alpha Gallery in 1977, visitors were invited to rearrange and rotate these sheets to form their own layered patterns and produce visually diverse outputs, in turn allowing for a more enriching and dynamic viewing experience ๐ฆ
