Throwback to NDP 2025 and our SG60 celebrations. It was a privilege and honour to lead the People's Action Party contingent.

But what I cherish most was the camaraderie. Grateful for a contingent that trained, laughed, persevered, and celebrated together.

Miss this wonderful bunch. Friendships forged in service, strengthened by shared memories, and lasting well beyond the parade. 🇸🇬

Elated to join in the celebrations with MFA colleagues at this year’s National Day Observance Ceremony. 🇸🇬

Wonderful sense of camaraderie as we sang the National Anthem together and enjoyed the traditional cake-cutting ceremony. My heartfelt congratulations to this year’s award recipients, whose dedication, professionalism and commitment have contributed to Singapore’s global standing as a trusted partner and a principled advocate for a rules-based international order.

As we mark National Day, let us renew our shared commitment to serving our nation with purpose and pride.

𝗗𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗵 𝗜𝘁𝘂 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵

+++++++

Today I had the honour of joining the congregants of Haji Muhammad Salleh Mosque.

Together with the mosque’s leadership and community members, we reaffirmed Singapore’s firm stance that “Dadah Itu Haram” - drugs are forbidden - and highlighted the collective responsibility we all share in safeguarding our families and society from the devasting consequences of drug abuse.

I was deeply moved by the heartfelt prayers and the sincere commitment of the mosque’s members to promote a healthy, drug-free environment.

Let us all stand together - faith, families, and the Home Team - in the fight against drugs.

Our annual Chua Chu Kang GRC National Day Walkabout is always a special tradition, but what truly makes it meaningful is the warmth and spirit of our community.

Together with Minister Jeffrey Siow, GRAs Dr Choo Pei Ling & Chua Wei-Shan, we had the joy of meeting residents around the neighbourhood, distributing National Day flags and sharing in the excitement of our nation’s birthday.

From children proudly waving their flags to residents sharing photos from past National Day Walkabouts and recent community events, every conversation was a reminder of the friendships, memories and bonds we’ve built together over the years. Seeing familiar faces and hearing your stories made the day even more special.

As we celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday, let’s also celebrate the neighbourliness, kindness and community spirit that make Keat Hong a place we are all proud to call home. ❤️

There is something special about seeing neighbours come together to create memorable experiences for one another. 🌞❤️

Our inaugural Keat Hong Sunshine Carnival was a wonderful example of this community spirit, with Keat Hong Sunshine, Zones 5 and 9 RNs joining hands to organise an evening of fun for everyone. Residents came by to enjoy performances, workshops, games, and activities, while children played and families spent quality time together.

The flea market was a platform, where residents had the opportunity to support their neighbours, discover local talents, and connect with one another in a lively community setting.

Let's continue to strengthen friendships, foster community spirit, and continue building a vibrant and caring Keat Hong community.

What a wonderful day spent with our Keat Hong residents on our 1-day Musang King Durian Tour in Johor Bahru.😊

From enjoying fresh Musang King durians straight from the plantation to celebrating our July birthday babies over dinner, the day was filled with delicious food, laughter, and even better company. There were so many opportunities to catch up, share stories, and get to know one another a little better.

When the rain came, it didn't stop the fun. Instead, it gave us one of the most memorable moments of the trip, with everyone coming together for a spontaneous singalong of a popular song - 朋友. It was a lovely reminder that it's the people we're with, not the weather, that make these outings so special.

These community gatherings are an opportunity to build friendships, strengthen bonds, and create memories together. Every conversation—whether on the coach, over a meal, or while enjoying durians—helps make our Keat Hong neighbourhood a warmer and more connected place. We have many more activities lined up, and I look forward to seeing familiar faces again, meeting new neighbours, and continuing to build a vibrant and caring Keat Hong community together! ❤️

One of the greatest strengths of our community is seeing our Keat Hong young stars grow in confidence, character, and resilience.

It was a pleasure attending the Keat Hong Zone 1 and Lion City Taekwondo Championship, where our young stars showcased the skills they have developed through months of dedication and practice. Just as inspiring was the strong support from parents, families, and friends, whose encouragement from the sidelines made every achievement even more meaningful.

Congratulations to all our young stars for their hardwork, perseverance, and determination. Every challenge overcome and every milestone reached is something to be proud of. ❤️

𝗦𝗬𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Spent a meaningful morning at the Syariah Court Practice Forum 2026, themed “Justice Within Reach: Collaborative Care for Families in Divorce”. Now in its second iteration, the Syariah Court Practice Forum brings together professionals across disciplines to better support Muslim families undergoing divorce.

What struck me most was the spirit in the room. Lawyers, social science professionals, and religious scholars, united by a shared conviction that Muslim families should have comprehensive, healing-centred support through one of life’s toughest chapters.

The Syariah Court’s commitment to therapeutic justice, grounded in the Islamic principles of “ihsan” (compassion) and “islah” (conciliation), reflects a Court that asks not just whether it is deciding cases correctly, but whether it is holding families well through the process.

Thank you to everyone at the Syariah Court, the Legal Aid Bureau, our Strengthening Families Programme (FAM) Centres, Marriage Counselling Programme (MCP) agencies, social service agencies, and all the asatizah, hakam, and Naib Kadi and other asatizah, who show up every day for the families who need you most.

Justice is about more than resolving disputes. It is about restoring dignity, strengthening families, and renewing hope.

Honoured to open the Syariah Court Practice Forum 2026, where legal professionals, social science practitioners and asatizah came together to discuss how we can make family justice more accessible, compassionate and collaborative.

Here are some extracts of my speech: to restore what has been broken, reconcile where possible, and minimise harm where reconciliation is no longer possible with a shared commitment to helping families move forward with dignity, fairness and hope.

Courts resolve disputes. Justice restores lives.
