VietnamJUMP – “Join to Understand, Memorize and Pave the way” first emerged as an annual project by the Vietnamese Community in National University of Singapore (VNC NUS). The project was an initiative to show our passionate toward the well-being of the people in underprivileged local community in Vietnam and the future of the nation. Every year, our project held tight to the vision of providing b
righter future to the people through improving welfare and education system. To work toward that goal, the project was supported by the VNC NUS, annually building a strong team of students, Vietnamese and foreign, who are passionate about community service and willing to learn more of Vietnamese culture and people. In 2012, VietnamJUMP has been restructured from an annual project to a continuous program. The main aim of this change is in order to improve the sustainability of our activities. It also signals our shift of focus into the youth and the education system. Our team deeply believes that the youth will be the main force driven the development of their local communities, and through our support to improve the local education system, we will empower them with the knowledge and capacity to achieve that.
