潮阳区侨联代表团到访本会，携手推进双向合作
6 月 21 日，汕头市潮阳区归国华侨联合会代表团一行莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆。本会会长拿督斯里吴木興博士BBM(L)、总务黄朝群、副财政陈振光、正交际陈森泉、副交际林本煜、文教组主任陈丽卿、董事杨秀辉与黄利发一众同仁热情接待。
座谈上，汕头市潮阳区区委常委、统战部部长许琪致辞，细数潮阳当前产业布局、重点项目建设与优良营商环境，诚挚邀约海外乡贤返乡投资兴业；同时谈及电影《给阿嬷的情书》在新加坡上映后的热烈反响与良好口碑，畅谈影片对本地潮州社群带来的深厚情感共鸣；此外还分享潮阳英歌非遗传承成果，提及女子英歌队将参与本会端午及百年庆典活动，期盼借助新加坡平台，让潮阳非遗走向国际。会长吴木興则对代表团远道来访表示热烈欢迎，介绍会馆近百年发展历程、潮州节、潮人企业家奖等品牌活动，冀望两地深化乡谊合作，共促双向发展。
双方代表围绕经贸对接、青年互动、文化传承等议题深入交换意见。此次会面以代表团赴新参与新加坡潮阳会馆百年庆典为契机，进一步拉近狮城与潮阳的纽带，为两地后续多元合作打下坚实基础，共盼同心携手，共绘潮人发展新蓝图。
On 21st June, a delegation from the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Chaoyang District, Shantou City visited the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan in Singapore. The delegation was warmly received by the Huay Kuan leadership team. Both sides exchanged views on economic cooperation, youth engagement, and cultural heritage, further strengthening ties between Singapore and Chaoyang.
During the meeting, Ms Xu Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, introduced Chaoyang’s industrial development, key projects, and business-friendly environment, and extended a warm invitation for overseas compatriots to invest in their hometown. She also highlighted the positive reception of “Dear You” in Singapore and shared updates on the preservation of Chaoyang Yingge intangible cultural heritage. In response, Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), President of the Huay Kuan, warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the Huay Kuan’s near-century history, along with signature initiatives such as the Teochew Festival and the Teochew Entrepreneur Award, expressing hope to further deepen cooperation and cultural exchange. The visit, held on the occasion of the Centenary Celebration of Teo Yeonh Huai Kuan, further strengthened ties between Singapore and Chaoyang, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
