Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan Prominent pioneers such as Mr Lim Nee Soon, founder of the TPIHK were instrumental in the country’s early economic growth.

新加坡潮州八邑会馆于1929年成立，在册会员6000余名，来自各行各业，包括各界社会贤达，是新加坡宗乡社团中会员人数最多的会馆，也是代表新加坡70万潮人的最高组织。

八邑会馆是潮州方言族群的地缘性会馆。“八邑”指过去属潮州府的八个县，即潮安、揭阳、澄海、潮阳、普宁、惠来、饶平和南澳。

坐落于登路的潮州大厦这座具有历史意义的建筑物，潮州八邑会馆属下设文教、会员、国内外事务、青年、潮女、商业投资和公益等功能组别，并通过各种社会、经济和教育渠道，积极推广潮州文化和潮州人的认同感。

潮州人占新加坡华人人口的20%，对新加坡各方面的发展起着深远的影响。著名先驱人物，如会馆的创始人林义顺等都对新加坡经济发展做出巨大的贡献。他们是成功商人，也是备受敬仰的社区领袖。

Founded in 1929, the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (TPIHK) is the largest Chinese clan association, representing some 600,000 Teochew people in Singapore. “Poit Ip” refers to the eight Teochew districts in Guangdong, China. “Huay Kuan” means "clan association". TPIHK has a membership strength of more than 5,000 local Teochews from all walks of life and include prominent figures in both the private and public sectors. Located at the historic Teochew Building along Tank Road, TPIHK set up seven (7) functional committees, namely the Culture and Education, Membership, Local and International Affairs, Youth, Ladies, Business Investments and Charities Committees to actively promote Teochew culture and identity through various social, economic, and educational channels. Comprising 20% of Singapore’s Chinese population, the Teochews in Singapore have had a profound influence in the development of Singapore. They were merchants by trade and also well-respected leaders with the community.

10月9日，国际潮团总会主席、新加坡潮州八邑会馆会长拿督斯里吴木興博士 BBM(L) 率团出席柔佛潮州八邑会馆“九十二载承潮脉 · 八邑同心续华章”92周年会庆晚宴，与各界乡贤及潮籍乡亲欢聚一堂，共叙乡情，共襄盛举。

恭贺柔佛潮州八邑会馆九十二周年华诞，会务昌隆、薪火永续，再创辉煌！期待两会继续深化交流、携手并进，共同弘扬潮人精神，续写乡谊新篇章。

On 9 October, Chairman of the Teochew International Federation and President of the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore), Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), led a delegation to attend the 92nd Anniversary Celebration Dinner of the Johor Teochew Eight Districts Association. The event brought together Teochew leaders and community members to celebrate this milestone and strengthen ties. 10月3日，新加坡潮州八邑会馆潮女组于 会馆举办公众演说与表达技巧工作坊，特邀剧场导演、电视主持人、跨界媒体人杨君伟担任主讲。本次活动旨在帮助组员提升表达自信、掌握沟通逻辑；课程融入大量表达互动演练与情景实操，现场交流热烈，大家踊跃投入、互相练习，沉浸式感受表达的魅力。

透过本次学习，助力女性在不同场合从容表达自我、清晰传递想法，在家庭、社群与职场中更好地发声。我们深刻体会到，自信表达并非天赋，而是可以持续打磨的能力。由衷感谢杨君伟带来这场兼具趣味与深度的精彩分享！

On 3 October, the Ladies Committee of the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) held a Public Speaking and Communication Skills Workshop at the Huay Kuan, led by Mr Danny Yeo, Theatre Director, TV Presenter and Cross-Media Personality. The workshop focused on building confidence and improving communication skills. Through interactive exercises and practical scenarios, members actively participated and practised together. The session highlighted that confident communication is not a talent, but a skill that can be developed with practice. Our sincere thanks to Mr Danny Yeo for an engaging and insightful session!

潮乐传乡音｜《给阿嬷的情书》音乐总监李奕瀚到访本会

10 月 1 日，电影《给阿嬷的情书》音乐总监、玩具船长主唱李奕瀚，广州图乐文化创始人张雪峰、商业战略总监朱鋆一行莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆参访交流。本会会长拿督斯里吴木興博士 BBM (L)、总务黄朝群、文教组主任陈丽卿、董事苏章恺热情接待，双方围绕潮语音乐创作与潮州文化传播展开交流。

座谈交流中，吴木興会长高度肯定李奕瀚深耕潮语音乐创作，以《给阿嬷的情书》主题曲《月下煮茶》带动潮语文化传播，让更多年轻人爱上潮语。他期待以音乐为纽带，探讨双方在年会及文化项目上的合作机会，为潮文化传承创新注入活力。李奕瀚分享了电影《给阿嬷的情书》的音乐创作理念，讲述《月下煮茶》的创作心路，畅谈多年坚持打造潮语音乐作品、以旋律讲述潮汕乡土故事的初心。广州图乐文化创始人张雪峰、商业战略总监朱鋆也相继发言，表达了期待携手会馆，共同推进潮汕文化跨地域传播的合作意向。

本次会面搭建起文化交流的桥梁，双方期待深化对接，探索在 2027 第二十四届国际潮团联谊年会的文化合作契机，借潮语艺术，向全球潮人展现潮汕文化魅力。

On 1 October, Li Yihan, Music Director of Dear You and lead singer of Toy Boat Captain, and his delegation visited the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) for an exchange session. President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), led representatives from the Huay Kuan in warmly welcoming the delegation. Both sides exchanged views on Teochew music and the promotion of Teochew culture.

President Derek Goh commended Li Yihan for his dedication to Teochew music and for promoting the Teochew language through Dear You’s theme song, Moonlight Tea. Li Yihan shared his creative journey and the inspiration behind the song, as well as his long-standing passion for telling Teochew stories through music. Both sides look forward to exploring cultural collaboration opportunities for the 2027 24th Teochew International Convention and sharing the beauty of Teochew culture with the global Teochew community.

9月27日，东莞市潮汕商会代表团一行莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆参访交流。本会会长拿督斯里吴木興博士BBM(L)、总务黄朝群、副交际林本煜热情接待，共叙乡谊、共探合作。

座谈会上，吴木興会长赞许东莞市潮汕商会汇聚大批扎根东莞的潮籍企业家，凝聚乡贤力量搭建交流平台；旗下潮青会联结新生代潮商，热心行业交流、创新创业分享与公益服务，传承潮人诚信务实、敢闯敢拼的精神。东莞市潮汕商会常务副会长兼潮青会主席陈宏城转达陈海生会长对会馆 97 周年庆典的祝贺，他表示此行专程登门交流学习，期待依托本次会面搭建两地经贸对接桥梁，发掘产业合作机遇，同时深化青年乡贤联络，共同弘扬潮汕文化。

On 27th September, a delegation from the Dongguan Teochew Chamber of Commerce visited the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) for an exchange session. President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), and his team warmly welcomed the delegation. Both sides shared their views on strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for cooperation.

President Derek Goh welcomed the delegation and highlighted the chamber’s role in connecting Teochew entrepreneurs in Dongguan. Chen Hongcheng, Executive Vice President of the Dongguan Teochew Chamber and Chairman of its Teochew Youth Committee, conveyed President Chen Haisheng’s congratulations on the Huay Kuan’s 97th Anniversary. He said the delegation came to exchange ideas and learn from the Huay Kuan. They also hope to strengthen business links, explore industry opportunities, deepen youth connections and promote Teochew culture. Both sides look forward to continued cooperation and closer connections between Teochew communities in Singapore and Dongguan.

9月27日，深圳市巾帼潮商商会会长胡文建率代表团莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆参访交流。本会会长拿督斯里吴木興博士BBM(L)、总务黄朝群、副交际林本煜、文教组副主任陈丹轲热情接待，双方围坐共话潮人联结，探讨两会协作契机。

座谈伊始，深圳市巾帼潮商商会常务副会长兼秘书长陈媛逐一介绍代表团成员，分享各位女企业家深耕的事业领域，促进与会同仁互相认识。吴木興会长祝贺商会完成第五届理事会换届，称赞商会汇聚杰出潮籍女企业家，彰显巾帼担当；会馆同样重视凝聚潮籍女性力量，本会潮女组成立于 2021 年，致力凝聚潮籍女性力量，期待双方推动女企业家互动、经贸对接与文化共建。胡文建会长介绍商会发展理念，期盼深化商贸与文化交流，并计划带领会员参与 2027年第二十四届国际潮团联谊年会。现场，深圳市巾帼潮商商会聘任本会会长吴木興为第五届荣誉会长，深化两会情谊。

On 27th September, a delegation from the Shenzhen Teochew Women’s Chamber of Commerce, led by President Hu Wenjian, visited the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) for an exchange session. President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), and his team warmly welcomed the delegation. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening Teochew connections and cooperation.

President Hu Wenjian shared the chamber’s development and looked forward to closer business and cultural exchanges. President Derek Goh congratulated the chamber on its new term and highlighted the Huay Kuan’s efforts to connect Teochew women through its Ladies Group. The Shenzhen chamber also appointed President Derek Goh as Honorary President for its fifth term. Both sides expressed interest in promoting business connections, cultural exchange and participation in the 2027 Teochew International Convention.

八邑会馆举办97周年庆典 明年国际潮团联谊年会筹备有序推进

9 月 26 日，新加坡潮州八邑会馆于莱佛士城会议中心举办97 周年庆典晚宴，逾千名贵宾齐聚现场，其中包括来自海外的 30 多个社团代表。会馆荣誉顾问、贸工部长（能源与工业）陈诗龙医生担任主宾；政务部长马炎庆、高级政务次长黄伟中、国会议员陈立峰、蔡引舟、李乃怡、陈以君、彭丽燕等，以及前国会议员林俊龙、杨木光、成汉通、刘梦琳、吴顺喜等莅临共贺。

会长吴木興在晚宴上透露，2027 年第 24 届国际潮团联谊年会筹备工作正稳步推进，期间将举办国际潮籍博士论坛、潮学国际研讨会、潮人经济论坛、杰出潮人奖等多项重点活动，届时将迎接全球逾4000名乡亲来宾，向世界展现新加坡潮人的风采。过去一年，会馆持续走访海内外潮团与商会，凝聚潮人力量。主宾陈诗龙部长则肯定会馆多年传承勤俭诚信、崇文重教、饮水思源的潮人精神，赞许会馆通过设立勤学奖，举办潮州青年领袖峰会、商业导师计划培育新生代，期许会馆善用科技发展会务，持续发掘与栽培青年接班人。晚宴当晚，会馆全新官网正式上线，新网站版面焕然一新，除涵盖会馆动态外，还增设潮汕美食与潮汕非遗文化等栏目。

九十七载薪火相传，潮心相连。新加坡潮州八邑会馆将继续扎根本地、联通世界，做好潮州文化传承工作，全力以赴办好 2027年 国际潮团联谊年会，传承发扬潮人精神。

On 26th September, the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) held its 97th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Raffles City Convention Centre, welcoming over 1,000 distinguished guests, including representatives from overseas associations in more than 30 countries and regions. The Guest-of-Honour was Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), and Senior Honorary Advisor of the Huay Kuan. Minister of State Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Shawn Huang, Members of Parliament Dannis Tan, Cai Yinzhou, Valerie Lee, Charlene Chen and Diana Pang, as well as former Members of Parliament Micheal Lim, Yeo Guat Kwang, Seng Han Tong, Penny Low and Derrick Goh, also attended the celebration.

President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh shared preparations for the 24th Teochew International Convention in 2027 are well underway. The convention will feature the International Teochew Doctors Association Forum, International Symposium on Teochew Studies, Teochew Economic Forum and Outstanding Teochew Award. The convention is expected to welcome over 4,000 Teochew guests from around the world. Dr Tan See Leng commended the Huay Kuan for upholding Teochew values and nurturing the younger generation through initiatives such as the Academic Diligence Award 2026, Teochew Youth Leaders Summit and Business Mentorship Programme.

For 97 years, the Teochew spirit has lived on, connecting hearts across generations. The Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) will continue to preserve Teochew culture, connect the community worldwide, and work towards a successful 24th Teochew International Convention in 2027.
