I watched a video recently, the story of how Singapore and Taiwan both entered the semiconductor race at the same time in 1987, and it got me thinking about growth in general.

While the world has moved on from Christmas, I’m still sitting with its meaning. In this season, my work brings together everything I’ve done before, sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, often under pressure.

For me, integrating God’s values isn’t about big moments.
It shows up in consistency, humility, and faithfulness to the process.

A friend asked me recently, “So… how has the new job been?”
Two months is just enough time to start feeling the rhythm of the place.

On my first day back at Sia Huat, I met some familiar faces I hadn’t seen in years. We had worked together on the first ToTT store at Sime Darby Centre, which no longer exists. Seeing them again as colleagues was a genuinely happy moment.

Since then, I’ve been working alongside the retail operations team, refining layouts, improving product mix, and thinking through retail strategies. A highlight was being invited to their Christmas party, it was full of laughter, jokes, and cheerful energy. It reminded me how much people matter in the work we do.

What a great way to start the new year! It feels really meaningful and I’m looking forward to 2026 and beyond, and to continuing the work.

Christmas displays are always more than decorations for me.

Recently completed the Christmas display and decoration for ToTT at both Suntec and Katong. Behind every festive setup is a lot of planning, adjusting, and hands-on work. Although tiring, the process was deeply fulfilling.

Grateful to be involved in both the design and ex*****on of the Christmas decorations, in-store visual merchandising, and product presentation. It was encouraging to see shoppers stopping to explore and enquiring about the products with the improved displays. Seeing the stores come alive during the festive season made all the effort worthwhile.

I recently put together a short discussion deck on retail improvement and innovation.
After years of working on the retail floor, I realised many stores don’t struggle because of a lack of products. They struggle because shoppers aren’t guided. When everything competes for attention, people feel tired before they feel inspired.
This deck is simply a sharing of observations, principles, and small shifts that can help retail spaces feel clearer, more human, and more meaningful.
The deck is on my LinkedIn. Please click on the link here:

Purpose is not just an abstract idea. It brings clarity, keeps us moving forward, guides our choices, our actions and decisions, helping our values grow into beliefs that give depth and meaning to what we do.

I created a deck to explore purpose from both personal and collective perspectives. We also look at how purpose grows naturally from our values, and how clarity deepens that connection and to understand how those individual sparks can come together to create something bigger.

I used to chase only the end results.
I didn’t care much about the journey, the process, or the lessons along the way.

In my twenties, I remember looking at my hands and asking God, “What can I do?”
And in that quiet moment, He spoke:
“You can make with your hands a tenth fold, a hundredth fold.”

Since then, my heart has been full of gratitude.
I cherish the experiences, the people I’ve met, the doors that opened, and even the unexpected turns that taught me something new.
I now have more than I could have imagined.

Gratitude anchors me.
Cherishing keeps me grounded.
Striving carries me forward, one step at a time.

Sometimes we talk about values and value propositions in meetings or strategy sessions, but they can feel a bit abstract.

I made a small deck to make it a bit more practical and reflective. It helps you and your team:
• Identify the values and what matter most
• Translate them into your value proposition which you can relate with your stakeholders
• Open up conversations and reflections around alignment and purpose

If this resonates, feel free to take a look and download it. Hope it’s useful for you and your team! 📈t.ly/si9md

Some time ago, I also shared another deck that looks at values from a different angle. You might find it helpful alongside this one. 📈 https://lnkd.in/g6ckfpGz

I’m not perfect. I simply share what I know, as best as I can. What I truly hope is to share Godly values, Christian values, in a way that allows people of any faith, or no faith at all, to reflect, benefit, and grow.

It doesn’t need to be through quoting Bible verses directly. I’m not a pastor, and it’s not my calling to preach from the Word. My desire is to share God’s love in a way that can be understood and experienced by people of everyday life.

✨ Living Our Values: Turning Principles into Action ✨
Shared values aren’t just ideals — they guide how we work, collaborate, and create impact in any organization. Here's a preview of the deck.

In this deck, I explore:
- Translating values into everyday actions
- Fostering collaboration and encouragement
- Building unity through diversity
- Driving trust, alignment, and tangible business results

Please feel Free to download this deck and edit your own, if necessary:

I want to share this deck because, as a Christian, I believe in bringing my faith into the work I do. I've based this off 1 Corinthians 12:12-27.

By embedding Godly values, we can create workplaces that are not only commercially effective but also meaningful and uplifting for the people in them.

💡 Curious to hear from you: How does your team bring its values to life every day?
