Once, during a networking session, we were told to share one thing that we would like to have in Bedok Town. We went around the group and the ideas floated were hardwares like childcare, cinema, garden, etc. When it came to one of our friends, he, with his sparkling and watery eyes looked at us and told us that he would simply like to have companionship. His heartfelt sharing etched into our brain

s even to this very moment. You see, this friend of ours was a retire and had been staying in Bedok for over 30 years. While Bedok is getting more and more vibrant, what he longed for is simply time with his children and grandchildren. Hence, we created this cover page to remind us that we need to work towards this crystal clear vision where people from all walks of life, generations and ideologies can come together to find that special bonding and companionship.
