We are grateful for volunteers like Ms Tan Poh Choo, as well as our friends at SingHealth, for their continued belief in the importance of showing up consistently and being present.

Volunteers help make moments of connection, support and inclusion possible. We are thankful for those who continue to give their time, heart and skills to our students, clients and residents at SAAC πŸ’™

Read about her experience as a volunteer in the post:

Volunteerism is not always about grand gestures.

Sometimes, it is about showing up consistently, being present, and offering our time, heart and skills to support others. πŸ’™

For Ms Tan Poh Choo, Assistant Director of Nursing and Advanced Practice Nurse at Changi General Hospital (CGH), volunteering through SingHealth’s support of President’s Challenge has been a meaningful way to connect with the community and contribute to a more inclusive Singapore.

When each of us takes a step to uplift someone else, we create meaningful connections that strengthen our entire community.

How will you uplift someone today?

A heartfelt congratulations to our Dignity of Work industry partner, BlueAcres Pte Ltd, on receiving an Asia-wide accolade by the Stewardship Asia Centre recognising their heart work and contribution through our Dignity of Work supported employment initiative!πŸ’™

We are truly grateful for their years of support and unwavering belief in inclusion. They see persons with autism not for their limitations, but for their abilities, strengths and potential.

Through this partnership, they have created meaningful opportunities that empower our trainees to grow, contribute and thrive in a workplace that understands and supports their needs.

Thank you, BlueAcres, for walking this journey with us. This well-deserved recognition absolutely reflects the heart and impact of your work!

What may look like a "tantrum" is often a person with autism experiencing overwhelming distress or sensory overload.

Seri, mother to Darwisyh, a student at St. Andrew's Autism School, shares the realities of raising a child with autism and the judgement families often face during public meltdowns. Her story, featured on CNA Lifestyle, is a gentle reminder that a little understanding, patience and kindness can go a long way.

β€œYou can just give us space. Or, you can smile at us and give us a nod. That is a silent acknowledgement that it’s okay for us to be here. That’s all we need,” said Seri.

That's why we're grateful to partner with Mastercard on the Time for Acceptance campaign, an initiative that encourages businesses and organisations to take meaningful steps towards becoming more autism-friendly.

As our community of partners continues to grow, we invite parents and caregivers of persons with autism to explore the Time for Acceptance directory available on our website. We hope it helps you discover everyday spaces where you and your loved ones can feel more comfortable, supported and accepted πŸ’™

At St. Andrew's Autism Centre, we're always asking: how do we help our staff do their best work for the people they support? πŸ’™

That question led us to partner with Tesse ai, as co-development partners whose frontline staff helped shape the platform from the ground up.

The difference on the ground has been obvious. Our staff produce more social stories than ever before, and visual supports that were manually produced are now generated in record time; Senior Coach Xin Yi says it has cut the time she spends on social stories by as much as 75%! Most importantly, all the time saved goes directly to who matters most - our beneficiaries.

But beyond the tool itself, this partnership reinforced something we believe deeply: that technology co-built with practitioners - not just for them - produces better results for everyone, including the persons with autism we serve.

We'll keep exploring. We'll keep partnering. And we'll keep putting our beneficiaries and our people's experiences at the centre of how we innovate.

Over the weekend, our friends from , led by & , visited us to bring to life and complete the new wall mural at our Siglap campus! 🎨

Some of our DAC clients had the opportunity to paint parts of the mural, with the finishing touches added by Chloe and her family.

To commemorate our friendship with ACE Team Foundation and express our deepest gratitude for their generous contribution last year, we’re proud to showcase this meaningful piece πŸ’™ It stands as a beautiful reminder of the kindness, partnership and community we are so thankful for.

The mural depicts a calm sea anchored by a lighthouse β€” a symbol of guidance, hope, and steady presence. A small boat rests quietly on the horizon, reflecting peace even in uncertain seasons.

We thank our partners for enabling us to keep working towards dignified and meaningful lives for persons with autism!

We were honoured to welcome Mr Baey Yam Keng ι©¬η‚ŽεΊ† , Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Transport, and Mayor of the North East District, to our St. Andrew’s Adult Home this morning.

During his visit, he spent time interacting with our clients and residents, visiting our Day Activity Centre classrooms and stepping into one of our residents’ rooms, where she proudly welcomed him and shared a glimpse of her daily life πŸ’™

We also had the opportunity to share more about our current initiatives, including Time for Acceptance - our newest partnership with Mastercard focused on making inclusion a reality in everyday spaces and communities.

We are encouraged to know that the team from the North East District shares many of the same hopes and goals as us, and is working towards building a more inclusive society where persons with autism are seen, accepted and supported to thrive. We look forward to having a meaningful partnership making every day spaces more inclusive.

Thank you for your time, conversation and heart for the community, Mayor Baey Yam Keng ι©¬η‚ŽεΊ† ✨
