🌍 A Memorable Visit: South Africa Focus Week in Singapore 2026 🇿🇦🇸🇬

It was our great honour at AMKCMA to host the South African Delegation as part of South Africa Focus Week in Singapore (SAFWS) 2026!

Among 76 merchants associations across Singapore, we are proud to be the only one selected to host this distinguished visit.

Led by High Commissioner H.E. Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe, the delegation visited Ang Mo Kio Town Centre to connect, learn, and exchange insights on 23 Sept 2026.

During the visit, we shared:
✅ The rich history of Ang Mo Kio Town Centre — and how it has evolved over the years to stay vibrant, relevant, and beloved by the community
✅ The founding story and mission of AMKCMA
✅ Sprout@AMK — our exciting initiative and how our new generation of tenants is bringing fresh energy, diversity, and vitality to our town centre
✅ A presentation by Mr Lai Chengyi — explaining why Singapore serves as such a strategic partner.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to FMAS (The Federation of Merchants' Associations, Singapore 新加坡全国商联总会) for their presence and support of this event! 💚

The visit ended with a simple, heartfelt meal at the AMKCMA office — and as we know, music brings people together 🎤🎶 We wrapped up the evening with karaoke, sharing laughter and friendship across cultures.

Thank you to the delegation for your warm visit and meaningful exchange! We look forward to growing this friendship and partnership further.
