Utrikespolitiska föreningen Växjö | Association of International Affairs Växjö Our association is politically and religiously independent!

We are a group of passionate students who took the initiative to create an association which allows us to come together and be united in our common interest of international affairs - Swedish and foreign. We have created a platform where current events and important topics are raised and discussed, and information and knowledge get exchanged. We wish to welcome not only students but also other mem

bers of the community. Our activities include events such as seminars, lectures, movie nights, outings etc. Membership currently requires a fee of 20 SEK, which grants you free entrance to all of our lectures and is valid for a year. Our lectures are held both in English and Swedish, as we wish to include all of those with an interest in the field of politics.

The event brought forward crucial discussions on student-related questions, and addressing key issues at local, regional, and national levels.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Emma Ricknell for her excellent moderation and for guiding the discussions so well. Our gratitude also goes to the participating politicians for sharing their valuable insights, and to everyone in the audience for their presence and engagement.

UPF TRIP RECAP

Here is a little recap from our spring trip to Greece. The group went to Meteora to visit some monasteries, got a guided tour around the city, heard about the city’s history, visited museums and tasted Greek food 🤍

On behalf of UPF and UNA Växjö, we would like to thank everyone who attended the debate. Both the engagement and the discussions were truly great. We are especially grateful to the youth party representatives for joining our panel, sharing their visions and making this debate a success!

✨ Äntligen dags för politisk debatt! ✨

Den 21/5 kl. 17.00–19.00 bjuder UPF Växjö tillsammans med Linnekåren in till en politisk debatt med lokala politiker från Växjö. Debatten kommer att hållas på svenska. Representanter från samtliga partier kommer att delta för att diskutera aktuella samhällsfrågor och ni i publiken kommer självklart få möjlighet att ställa frågor!

Debatten kommer att ta plats i IKEA-salen.

UPF Växjö arrangerar eventet tillsammans med Linnékåren.
Rädda Barnen och ID kommer också att finnas på plats för att svara på praktiska frågor kring valet.

I pausen bjuds det på kaffe och frallor
Eventet är öppet för både studenter och icke-studenter
(Medlemskap krävs inte)

UPF Växjö, in collaboration with UNA Växjö, invites you to a debate night!
The debate will take place in the Weber hall at the university on Wednesday the 13 of May at 16:00-18:30. The debate will be between the Moderata Ungdomsförbundet/ Moderate Youth League
Sveriges socialdemokratiska ungdomsförbund/ Swedish Social Democratic Youth League
Centerpartiets ungdomsförbund/ Centre Party Youth
Liberala ungdomsförbundet/ Liberal Youth League
Grön Ungdom/ Young Greens
Kristdemokratiska ungdomsförbundet/ Youth Christian Democrats .kronoberg
Vänsterstudenterna (The Leftwing students)

They will be discussing several student-related topics and more. The event will be held in English and is open to everyone, but you must either show proof of membership or become a member on-site, which is free. There will be fika at the debate.
We will begin with a few questions where each party gets to state their opinion on various important issues, followed by quick questions where they answer yes or no. Finally, we will conclude with a Q&A session where you will have the chance to ask questions to all the youth parties.
