Listening to Real Voices: Focus Groups in Action
As part of our needs analysis phase, we have also implemented focus group discussions to go deeper into the real experiences of adults.

This time, we worked with participants from Germany, creating a safe and open space for sharing ideas, challenges, and personal stories.

💬 Guided by structured questions, participants discussed:
• Their experiences with education and employment
• Barriers to re-entering the workforce
• Skills needed in today’s labour market
• What kind of support would truly make a difference

These focus groups allowed us to move beyond theory and hear directly from people who are facing these challenges in real life.

📌 The discussions were based on our Focus Group Guide, designed to explore motivation, barriers, and support needs in a practical and human-centered way

✨ What we learned:
Participants highlighted the importance of confidence, flexible learning opportunities, and practical skills - especially digital and communication skills.

🤝 This process is helping us shape a project that is not only relevant, but truly responsive to people’s needs.

Stay tuned as we continue sharing insights from Germany, Sweden and Cyprus!

Needs Analysis in Action!
As part of our Erasmus+ project “Empowering Adults for Workforce Reentry: Bridging Gaps, Building Strengths”, we are actively conducting needs analysis interviews to better understand real challenges and opportunities.
We had the opportunity to speak with two inspiring professionals from Sweden who are deeply involved in youth work:
✨ Hussein Ibrahim – with over 40 years of experience in Sweden, starting as a teacher and later becoming a university principal, sharing valuable insights on education, leadership, and long-term career development.
✨ Muhamed Ali – founder and chairman of a youth organization in Stockholm, actively implementing youth activities and Erasmus+ projects since 2010, bringing practical experience from the field.
Through these interviews, we are gathering real-life perspectives on:
• Career gaps and re-entry challenges
• Youth and adult education needs
• Skills required for today’s labour market
These conversations are helping us shape a project that truly responds to people’s needs and creates meaningful impact.
📌 The needs analysis phase is a key foundation of our project, ensuring that all future activities are relevant, practical, and effective
Stay tuned as we continue sharing insights from our research across partner countries!

🌍 S.E.T. UP! Social Economy Exchange – Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Project Reference: 2023-1-IT03-KA152-YOU-000121553

We are happy to share the successful completion of the Erasmus+ youth exchange “S.E.T. UP! Social Economy Exchange”, coordinated by I CARE and implemented with partners from 7 European countries 🇪🇺

The project focused on tackling youth unemployment by introducing young people to the principles and practice of social economy and social entrepreneurship. Through non-formal education, teamwork, and hands-on activities, participants explored how social enterprises can create positive impact for communities, the environment, and society.

Young people developed entrepreneurial, social, and transversal skills, strengthened their role as agents of change, and built strong international connections. The project also promoted key EU values such as dignity, equality, democracy, and active participation.

Thank you to all partners and participants for contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future 💙

🌍 From Dots To Lines – Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers (KA153) Project Reference: 2022-3-IT03-KA153-YOU-000099000

We are proud to share the successful completion of the Erasmus+ project “From Dots To Lines”, a mobility project for youth workers coordinated by Maek APS and implemented with partners from 9 European countries 🇪🇺

The project focused on strengthening social inclusion, community development, and innovation in youth work through experiential learning methods. During the main mobility activity, youth workers took part in an intensive training programme designed to help them create inclusive initiatives in their local communities, especially for people with fewer opportunities.

A key element of the project was working in an agricultural and rural context, using practical activities such as beekeeping as a replicable model for inclusion. Participants learned how experiential, hands-on methods can support dialogue, reintegration, and active participation, including work with ex-detainees and socially excluded groups.

Beyond training, the project aimed to create real impact at local level by encouraging cooperation between youth, NGOs, and local authorities, and by supporting inclusive events and initiatives in partner communities. At international level, the project raised awareness about social inclusion and the active role of youth workers in building stronger, more connected societies.

“From Dots To Lines” brought together motivated youth workers who exchanged practices, developed new skills, and strengthened their professional capacity to work for inclusive and sustainable communities across Europe.

Thank you to all partners, participants, and supporters who made this project possible 💙
