Support Group started as an initiative in the biggest asylum camp in Sweden in 2014. Two years later, it became an officially registered as a European organization. Support Group Network target audience is asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants and migrants, newcomers. SGN collaborates with local societies, municipalities, associations, NGOs, groups and individual volunteers. SGN focus areas:

1- Human Rights Award in 2016 for SGN from Västra Götaland Region, Sweden.
2- Lifelong Learning Award (LLLAwards) in category of Best Practice, SGN was chosen one of the best ten inspiring initiatives in Europe.
3- Integration award for best integration project 2019 for (Strong Women Network Project)
4- Two of SGN projects have been chosen in two different occasions by SKL (Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions) as model example that other Swedish municipalities should follow.
