How do you turn an idea into something real? 🚀
Founder Story is a series where Uppsala University students meet founders and innovators who have taken an idea beyond the drawing board and turned it into something tangible 👀
You'll hear about the first steps, the challenges, the unexpected turns, and the lessons learned along the way 💥
This time, meet Mio Fagerhäll.
While studying Business and Economics at Uppsala University, Mio co-founded the AI-powered dating app Eve. What started as an idea during an exchange semester quickly grew into one of Sweden's most talked-about startups. The app reached #1 on the App Store, raised millions in funding, and generated 30 million views before the team decided to shut down the product and start over.
In this Founder Story, Mio shares what it was like to go all in on a startup, what happens when things don't go according to plan, and why he's already building something new 🎉
You'll have the chance to ask your own questions and meet other curious students.
Snacks and soft drinks will be served 🥤
The event is organized by UU Innovation in collaboration with CreateU Uppsala and Uppsalaekonomerna.
